Galaxy 8 - Allen Theatres — Attraction in Roswell

8/27/23 at the 8:05pm movie for Gran Turisimo, half way through the movie the power shuts down in the building. Everybody’s coming out all the theaters, it’s pouring raining outside, I decided to leave and not wait. Called earlier today to speak to a manager about getting a refund, the girl over the phone said they’re not available but she took down my info and said someone will call me back. Never heard back. So I go in and politely ask to speak to a manager, I showed them my ticket stub from yesterday and asked if they can comp a small bag of popcorn and a small drink. They said they can’t do it. Proceeded to contact a manager and the manager said they will not comp any customers for food or beverages. Listen, I’m a business owner, I’m busy, it’s not about the money, it’s the principal. So I have to sit through another movie that I just seen the first half of the movie yesterday spend more money on a small bag of popcorn and drink? And this young girl tonight had the nerves to give me her little attitude with this blank stare as if I’m in the wrong. They either make this right or I’ll never return to this theater again. I’ve got over 1.5 million people viewing my google listing, Google sends me updates congratulating me all the time for contributing. These companies better start rethinking their policies because from one business owner to another, this is unprofessional and unacceptable. What’s your cost on a small bag of popcorn, maybe .50 cents and a small drink, maybe another .50 cents, they have the nerves to dramatically up charge customers but not professional or compassionate enough to comp what cost you $1 and that’s being generous considering you buy in...

Sooooooo not the best experience here at allen theaters galaxy 8. =[. I went in to see the new monkey movie and it was a matinee. The first showing of the morning. The theater was horrendously dirty. How disgusting and lazy of the night time janitors. There was sticky coke spilt on the floor, and I slipped and fell! I think I got a concussion, and a small piece of the stairs broke off! I am a bigger girl, so a fall is serious!!! I rolled over, got up and made it to my chair. IT DIDNT WORK!! I had to crawl back behind the seat and plug it in myself! Again, I am bigger, and I kind of got stuck back there. It was not pleasant. When the movie finally came on, the picture was blurry and weird. I had to go tell them but they never fixed it. Also, all of the seats are all scratched, they need new ones. Other than all of that, my experience was okay. The only reason this trash can is getting two stars instead of one is the young lady who helped me at the concession. I didn't get her name, but she had shoulder-length black hair, and all of these odd piercings in her face. Not my thing, but you do you. This is by far the worst movie theater I’ve ever been to in my life. Save yourself some money and just watch your movies at home. It’ll be a much better experience. The theater smells, all the leather on the seats is torn off, the buttons are sticky and barely even work for the chairs to go back. The film is cropped in on the screen so you can’t read titles. Staff, don’t get me started. This company clearly doesn’t care since it’s one of the only theaters around. So the let it sink to such a low it’s unbelievable.
