My YTT experience at Yoga Rocks has been one of the best experiences in my adult life! Dee Dee and Jillian are so talented and very knowledgeable. They have many gifts to share with the world and pass on to future YTT instructors. The teacher training is unlike any experience one could have. Life long bonds have been made with some of the best group of passionate yogis! Iâm in awe of my experience and wish it wasnât over. These last 6 1/2 weeks have taught me so much about not only yoga: the culture of yoga and how to incorporate my new skill into life. From our teacher/student chant, to taking lots of hot đ„” classes is just the tip of the iceberg. The community of love at Yoga Rocks is very special. I have found my hot yoga studio for life. I canât forget about ALL the special guest instructor lectures we had throughout training. So much talent under one roof to give mini lectures over various topics to take with you in life. Once you learn your sequencing, you will be teaching in live classes to help your nerves and also your experience. You will come out well rounded in your education. I learned about myself and my life journey doesnât end here, itâs only just beginning.
Dee Dee has many years of experience in fitness and yoga combined. She is one of the BEST YOGA instructors I have had the pleasure of taking. To gain her as a life long mentor is such a great asset.
Jillian is equally as amazing when it comes to 26.2 sequence and her posture mechanics is super helpful. Especially if you are new to 26.2 as I am. She is a plethora of knowledge and super talented! She also teaches an awesome Buti Yoga class!
You will not be disappointed in taking this YTT 200 training! I highly recommend signing up when this opportunity comes around again. There are many studios in DFW to choose from, I cannot speak for them but my YTT training at Yoga Rocks was the best choice I could have made. You are treated like family from day...
Read moreUpdate: adding a star since the studio has finally taken my feedback to heart. I'm just sorry I had to resort to a 3-star review to be heard. Studio management is apparently no longer discouraging instructors from leaving the door open and fans on to cool things off even when the temp is above the promised range.
For new/potential clients: you might need to take the posted temps and experience levels with a grain of salt, but don't let it deter you from giving hot yoga or this studio a few tries. Start with a vinyasa from Dee Dee or Katarina and someday graduate to one of Fred's. đȘ If I'd reviewed the studio a year ago, it would have been 5 stars. Since then, some of my favorite instructors have left. The good ones that are still around do not honor the posted temperatures unless the studio manager isn't there. The website lists vinyasa classes as 90-95 degrees. How can we get a real workout when it's well over 105? Please, open the door and keep the fans on to manage the temp. Opening it after we are already overheated isn't effective.
BTW the heater is usually broken for the first few weeks of winter. You show up for a 26.2 class at 5:30am and it's 50 degrees inside, yuck.
But it's pretty cheap, it's yoga, and it's super close to home, so they are probably going to be stuck with my griping for awhile. I hope they will start doing a better job with the temp and I can give them a...
Read moreWalking into this hot yoga studio feels like my second home. The space is clean and it is a perfect environment to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with yourself. Each class I take with Katrina, Fred, Jimmy, and Dee Dee are wonderful experiences. The instructors not only teach, but also truly inspire you. They meet you where you are, offering encouragement and motivation. The heat, the flow, the energy, all work together to create an experience thatâs both physically challenging, but also grounding. After every session, I leave feeling lighter, stronger, and more centered. Itâs more than just yoga. Itâs a place to grow, heal, and find balance. Iâm so grateful to have found...
