Went to glam myself up (wax) meanwhile I come out with burnt skin and peeled off eyebrow. The stylist was nice. However, she ripped off my skin above my eye. I noticed it as I was looking in the mirror. From my perspective she noticed (how can you not? Everyone noticed it) and didnāt stop. She also gave me incomplete service with plucking my lip. There is still hair there. I canāt even use my trimmer because my lip is too sensitive to even use.
I got waxed 3 weeks ago at a spa and this did not happen. Iāve been waxing and this is the first time this has ever happened.
I asked 2 people at the store if they have anything. The cashier asked if Iād like to tip the stylist , I showed her my skin and if there is anything we can do . She looked shocked and concerned, she tried to help me but they didnāt have anything, was told to go to a CVS for some healing cream. What really bother d me tho, after seeing my skin and missing skin and in pain, ādo you want to tip?ā. Just felt icky. She didnāt even ask for a manager. Looking back I totally should have.
Went to a wax center near by and they were mortified at my skins condition. They took me immediately and gave me products to reduce the inflammation and pain.
After wax center I went back to speak with the manager, I appreciate her apology and kindness. She thankfully gave me a refund for the waxing and some free mini goodies! Much appreciated.
It just really upsetting because I have clients to meet all week and it feels embarrassing to have these marks all over my face that are clearly noticeable. :(
After looking at the reviews , itās clear that this is not the first time it happened. Which...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just hung up with corporate to file a formal complaint about how I was treated by the general manager at the Ledgewood store - Alex. I needed to buy a hair dryer, it was $199 on sale on the site for $149. I realized this at the store, and tried to purchase it on line and pick it up at the store I was physically at!! With the product in my hand!! I was having a trouble because they had only 1 in stock and apparently their system does not let a customer purchase it and pick up at store if they only have one.
I asked Alex if she could help me, she said no because it was against their policy to help me order an item online and pick it up in person when the stock is at 1. She said there was no one to call, and she was the manager. I stood at the register trying to figure it out while she rolled her eyes and clicked her nails on the counter. She finally walked away and told the young man at the register to let her know what happens???I was still standing there! I purchased the item at $199, and asked the young man for the store number and her name.
I called the customer relations line for Ulta and told them how I was treated and they were surprised. I am waiting for a call back, and will also file a complaint on the BBB. I then went to Sephora to purchase the other item that Alex told me that she had never heard of. Both of the girls at the Sephora down the street had worked at that Ulta and left because of this manager. Apparently she treats employees just as bad as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGot to the benefit brow bar and waited a minute for her to acknowledge me as I thought she was talking to a customer but it was just another coworker since they seemed slow. Didnāt exchange any nice pleasantries of how are you today, what would you like, etc? I asked how long she worked there to spark conversation and she remained underwhelming like I was bothering her. She did however talk to her coworker about their new manager while applying wax to my brow. During this awkward interaction, she explained her boss wants more google reviews and sheāll walk me through leaving a review before I leave. She said, āYou donāt have to say anything, just it has to be 5 stars.ā I didnāt even respond as I was shocked sheās asking this before even finishing my brows and just overall attitude of being rude. Then at the end she tried pressuring me to leave a 5 star review in front of her and I said I didnāt feel comfortable in doing so. She was not understanding and my eyebrows were done poorly to the point I had to continue tweezing when I got home. Then writing my slip to go checkout she had to ask for my name yet again. Worst experience at Ulta I ever had. Their āsecondaryā option of getting brows waxed back from the salon should be their primary. The woman back there is personable, friendly, and does a great job. I like the salon person so much Iāll return only for her. Stay away from the benefit...
