I normally go to a large for phone but one of my friend suggested going to local stores to support local business which turned out to be a bad idea.
They promised me a good trade in value on my current phone which is one of the main reasons to switch to the new carrier. When I handed over the old phone on the day of the switch, they suggested bringing it back later since it was late and I had ordered few more phones too, which is fine. But I didn't realize the true reason why they ask me to come back later.
When I went back for the trade in after a few weeks(after other phones arrived) as they suggested, then only they would tell me that I wont get the trade in value since my phone had screen damage. They conveniently forgot to say it on the first day when they saw the phone. If they would have told me then I wouldn't have agreed to switch.
So, that is one incident that I thought its fine even though they were not honest at first, I should have double checked too. They also suggested an option to fix my screen and trade in , even though I lost a few hundreds on it, at least I they accepted the trade in and I am hoping to get a decent value in spite.
But the last straw was when I got the first bill. I saw a bunch of items that I never agreed too on the bill. Once was a 5$ monthly for an upgrade option and another was about 40$ per month as phone insurance . I clearly said I did not want it but they sneaked it in. I swear I said I didn't want it, but at this point its becoming "he said she said" issue.
Lesson learnt - don't trust them word for word, when they ask you to sign on the Ipad, scroll every page and read through even if they try to rush you into signing.
I went to the store upon receiving the first bill and asked them to remove both items, they removed the 40$ insurance going forward, but their system did not allow removal of the 5$ . When I called AT&T support it put me on hold for 30 min and I couldn't get to them. The guys at store asked me to come back when the manager is available, but it was very difficult to get hold of the manager . I tried 2 or 3 times .
Will give it a try again to talk with the manager and update if there is any...
Read moreI called AT&T to order a new phone for my husband. I explained that it's difficult to go into a store and sit for an hour due to his disability. She tried to help on the phone and told me my best bet would be to go into a store so I could get the phone that day instead of waiting because she would have to ship it out. So we made an appointment with the Ledgewood store because she said it was a corporate store and we could look and choose our promotion phone and watch. Our appointment was Sunday at 11am. Walked into the store yesterday, wasn't greeted by the employee. He just looked up from his computer like we were bothering him. I told him we had an appointment at 11. His response was " I didn't look at my appointments, what do you need"? I told him I need to transfer a number and get a new phone and watch with the promo going on. He told me that couldn't be done and I would have to turn in my phone because I'm not due for an upgrade. My husband is due for the upgrade. Gave me an attitude and proceeded to look into my account. I asked about looking at the phones and watches. Nothing in store. You have to order online and have them shipped to you. If I had known I would have just ordered with the representative on the phone instead. It's extremely disappointing that you employees don't care about their job and treat people the way they do. If you don't want to work, find another job. Don't make the customer feel as though we are taking up and wasting you time. As soon as we walked out of the store he was back on his cell phone. I will never go back to that store!! Terrible...
Read moreWorst location I’ve ever dealt with. For starters I sat for an hour waiting on an employee to show up after their “lunch break.” AT&T has a promotion currently Phone 16 Pro on us When you trade in your old iPhone in any condition. Offer ends 5/15. Offer end 5/15. Req’s trade-in of iPhone 14 or higher. Apple Intelligence requires iOS 18.1 or later. Terms & restrictions apply. Subject to change. Prior to coming to the store I spoke to 3 representatives in regards to my options as I have an iPhone 14. Current device has 199$ left as far as installments. AT&T suggested that they could accelerate the remaining installments onto the bill for the new device. Employee (Dennis) at first tried saying my device would be rejected (after picking at it) due to a blemish on the casing from the case rubbing and until I showed him the promotion. He then explained he was unsure how to accelerate the installment he would have to call his manager. The manager also refused to honor the promotion and to accelerate the remaining balance. I do not recommend this location at all considering their lack of experience and willingness to assist a customer with a more...
