I often go to Roosters due to the atmosphere, delicious coffee, and treats. However, in a very short period of time, I've had two disappointing experiences that make me question wanting to return. We all have good and bad days, and things happen, that I understand. What bothered me was the complete lack of accountability and almost condescending the workers' response. On two recent occasions, I ordered Chi tea latte (or usually caramel latte). The first occasion, (about a month agonor so) ,it took 30 minutes for the chi tea, when I asked about the delay all I got was, "oh sorry here". I stayed it it should not take 30 minutesfor a chi tea but left it alone since I figured it was just a busy day, it happens. Kept going back. Today I walked in, one person in line I front of me, one person behind. When it was my turn, (same worker as the last incident) ignors me walks back and forth then says hold on. I do. After she cleans organizes then takes my order. I pay and wait. Three people now got their drinks, all who ordered after me things like Frappuccino and complex drinks. I see murmuring look a watch and realized it's been 20 min. I asked the young lady, the worker then as oh sorry it coming right up then just leaves. I felt dismissed, all I said was "wow" the lady then decides to take accountability (not really) the computer didn't print the chi ticket, sorry. I explained it was unacceptable. The young girl gave me my coffee apologized and they gave me some cake. I left, annoyed. Needless to say, I don't know if I will return. It's unfortunate to receive this kind of service for a 6$ chi tea. Maybe it's a coincidence that it was the same lady, regardless the response is what disappointed me. Otherwise I...
Read moreLive a block away. I've been there a couple of times. In the beginning, when they opened, things were great. Nowadays, not so much. Some food on display doesn't taste fresh. I asked if I could get a dozen cheese bread. It didn't matter if I had to wait or come back later to pick it up. Thus is 11:45am on a Sunday. They closed at 3 pm. They told me it couldn't be done because they were closing soon. If they baked more, it was gonna sit on the display, and nobody would buy it. Mind this... I am buying 2 dozen. There were only 4 on display at 11,:15. So you are not making more for the day? They open at 8 am on Sudays; only 3 hours into their day and 3 hours 45 mins from closing. We ate there, and when we left, a fresh batch was on the display after we bought the 4 left. Either they didn't want to sell us the bread, or they were lazy. Empanadas cold from the fridge. Who eats fried empanadas cold! They are fried and supposed to be warm or hot. When I asked for health reasons, I needed some just fried. I can't eat food that had been seating for hours on the rack. Transplant patient that have to watch for bacteria . Was told no as well. Like we are paying for all we requested. It's not a freebie. Not making them do it and leave. You have to pay when you order. We are buying them. Never again visiting. We are never rude. Almost tip nicely. By far, bad or rude customers. Like darn, we live close by and reperated customers that like to come back. I would drive 30 seconds down the road and go to Starbucks. Besides better...
Read moreThis is the second time I stopped here to get a coffee. The first time I had a pistachio latte which was very good. I grabbed a rap every tart as well which was truly outstanding, not a pre packaged crappy Danish like most places but a freshly made tart. Absolutely great. Had to return to the area for work so I stopped in the morning for a little caffeine and had a Caramel Haystack, had to ask what a haystack was and was told a flavored latte with some toppings on it. What an understatement that was!! It is indeed a very good flavored latte but the presentation was fabulous with drizzles of caramel over fresh whipped topping and a marshmallow toasted right before being placed on top!.. Decadent!! The pressed bacon egg and cheese sandwich was also outstanding,I was hesitant it being pressed because often they are just a smooshed but if bad bread but this was also over the top, not flattened but pressed, good bacon, nice mozzarella cheese and drizzled with tiny bit of maple syrup(?) and powdered sugar with some fresh sliced strawberries and blueberries. I have been coming to this area for ten years and overlooked this place. Never again, this is my ho to spot from now on!!
Side note, two ladies across the seating area from me what looked like a nice salad, was actually avocado toast with prosciutto and I believe ricotta, looked really good and will be...
