January 2023 - first stop at the zoo from my 3 daughters. We love this place. We got to see them take butterflies out behind the glass and onto the tree (picture). The woman said they are wet, and could not hear why. However, she said they will dry off and then fly. It was really cool. The next room has some birds. Before you go into the butterfly room, there is usually a globe and other items. I was told sometime this year, the stuff should be back. Maybe some new things.

I’ve been going to this zoo for 12 years now (since moving here) and seems that each year it’s improving. Aside from the recognizable changes in landscaping the butterfly exhibits seems to have made big improvements. These can be seen in the staffing, special exhibits, & butterflies themselves…I have never seen so many clustered. A color explosion. In my many ways it felt like a fairy tale. A heads up…it gets humid in the arboretum areas.

What an amazing experience! When you go inside the big building, there's art displays and an earth room. Then there's a line to enter through double doors to view the butterfly exhibit. After that there's another set of double doors to enter a bird exhibit. It was really cool seeing all the pretty butterflies. Recommend this building!

Visited the Zoo Memorial Day weekend, and it was lovely! The butterfly garden was our last stop during the trip, and the wait was pretty long. However, the wait was definitely worth it once we got let in.

The only thing that was unpleasant were the multiple large families that let their rabid children run loose. Those families were also very content on inconsiderately taking their time in the gardens once they were let in, which held up the line. The garden is small but I would have liked to see the staff encouraging people along especially on a busy day. Other than that,...
