Visited the Zoo Memorial Day weekend, and it was lovely! The butterfly garden was our last stop during the trip, and the wait was pretty long. However, the wait was definitely worth it once we got let in.
The only thing that was unpleasant were the multiple large families that let their rabid children run loose. Those families were also very content on inconsiderately taking their time in the gardens once they were let in, which held up the line. The woman said they are wet, and could not hear why. However, she said they will dry off and then fly. It was really cool. The next room has some birds. Read moreI’ve been going to this zoo for 12 years now (since moving here) and seems that each year it’s improving. Aside from the recognizable changes in landscaping the butterfly exhibits seems to have made big improvements. These can be seen in the staffing, special exhibits, & butterflies themselves…I have never seen so many clustered. A color explosion. In my many ways it felt like a fairy tale.
