Cato Fashions — Attraction in Russellville

I was allowed into a fitting room by one dark-haired lady whom was very nice, to try on clothing. Soon after, I proceeded back to the cash register to purchase 10 items. As I stood waiting for a cashier, I removed all of the hangers and folded up all of the shirts. A different dark-haired lady with an accent, approached the register with a customer. This store associate never acknowledged me in any way although I was already standing at the register with my clothes folded, waiting to pay. She proceeded to order an item for the customer, whom accompanied her to the register. After placing the customer's order, she continued to stand conversing with this lady about how she has been running the store for years, cars and about someone they had in common. At no time did this sales associate acknowledge me in any way or even look at me. I walked away left the 10 shirts and hangers on the counter. I stated, " Next time you should acknowledge your customers"and exited the store. The ONLY thing this sales associate had to do would have been to say, I will be right with you." I like Catos--having 3 daughters, we shop at my local one all the time. Nice floor plan/layout and they usually have great clearance. This one, though, the clearance prices were almost the same as the original price! I still probably would have bought it but the sales staff were pretty high pressure and honestly just annoying. I'm an ag/shop teacher who was needing to buy some dressier clothes for State FFA Convention.
