The Ruston Chapel — Attraction in Ruston

My wife and I were married here 2 weeks ago (Oct 2022), and we cannot say enough good things about the Ruston Chapel! Our experience was absolutely phenomenal.

First, and most importantly, Debbie and the rest of the staff were so genuine and kind. They worked so hard to make sure our day was everything we wanted it to be. The chapel was decorated beautifully, and exactly how we had envisioned. Our MOH was especially grateful for all of their help the day of. They truly went above and beyond to make it special and ensure that we had zero stress and could just enjoy our day. Debbie even jumped on the dance floor and did the Cupid Shuffle with us.

They are LGBT friendly here. This was one of my first questions for them before we even booked our date because I didn't see any reviews with queer weddings, so I want to make sure and mention that. We're both women, and felt very welcomed and accepted. Their contracts say "Name 1" and "Name 2" instead of bride and groom, which to me was an important (though small) detail.

From a pragmatic standpoint, this venue offers so much value for your money. They have a variety of packages from elopements to a full ceremony and reception for up to 50 guests which are all inclusive. Decor, flowers, set up and clean up, help with planning and coordination, everything. Debbie can even officiate the ceremony if you would like. This took a lot of the stress out of the whole process for us. The only things we had to worry about were catering and what we wanted to wear. Debbie is there to help every step of the way throughout the planning process with great ideas and recommendations to help make our day exactly what we wanted it to be while also saving us money. When compared with other wedding venues, The Ruston Chapel's level of service really sets itself apart. 10/10...

We ended up going to Debbie and her team at The Ruston Chapel because of canceling our original location due to COVID. From the moment I met Debbie, I was sooo impressed by her warmth. She took lots of notes and really got her arms around what I liked and was looking for. I am a bit OCD about details and I was just stressing myself out about the details and making sure things went smoothly....that is until I met Debbie! She calmed my nerves enough for me to feel confident and relaxed about turning it all over to her. I wasn't disappointed! It was AMAZING!!! My guest were so impressed by her and her team and they raved about the chapel. My wedding day was the absolute best day of my LIFE!! In spite of COVID, it was stunning! I wish I could relive that day! It was everything and MORE than I had hoped for. She helped us ensure masks were worn, she modified serving of the food (which she catered herself...IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!) She understood my vision and brought it to life! I would recommend her and this chapel to ANYONE wanting a small to medium ceremony in a beautiful and easy to get to location! She did the flowers too! I just can't rave enough about the experience! It's sad because the actual reception was nice and the lady that runs the place was really nice to us as well. Me and my husband didn't have family that could attend our wedding so we had an elopement package for just me him and our son. Since it was just us we arranged for one of her people to take pics and video for us so we could at least always have these memories.... This meant soooooooo much to me I can't express. Something to look back on show our kids and look back on the moment we exchanged our vows. There was a young man there that she arranged to capture the pics/video and we were told we'd get them sent to us shortly after. I called days later and was told she was busy with a new rush of clients but would send them soon. Ok...I called after a few months now being told the young man is having a hard time sending it to me. But assured me he would send it soon. I gave her my email both our numbers and remained patient. Months later same story. Btw everytime I've tried and called I get no luck. Right after that FIRST check in soon after our wedding she stopped answering our numbers and I'd only get a response when I'd call from a different number. This was 2 years ago never heard from her again and I guess I've finally accepted I'll never have those wedding photos. Reception...
