We dropped our computer off for service and when we went to pick it I trusted that it was my computer. I didn't take a good look at the case to ensure it had a DVD and where the thumb drive slots were. I didn't look at the back either. We took it home and immediately realized it was NOT our computer. I called, and they denied anything was wrong. I told them I had pictures of my computer and stated we were bringing it back. I spoke to Jeff, who said he needed time to call and look into my complaint. I was very concerned they gave my computer to someone else. Jeff told me not to come back because they could not help me at the shop and that they would bring my computer to me. He was clearly stalling me and kept me on the phone arguing with me. We had loaded the computer in our car and agreed to wait for him to make calls. It took him over 30 minutes to call me and he insisted we had our computer. He said he had it on video, and I demanded they show it to me. I told him I had pictures of my computer. While we were inside, his staff switched computers without telling me. They just opened my car and switched them, and Jeff insisted we had picked up our computer. Why would I make up such a story? I would not. This computer belongs to a lawyer and has sensitive personal information. I called my neighbor to see if she saw any vehicles near my house, and she said she did and was about to call me to tell me. Jeff was lying to try to lessen their liability. I detest liars, and he should be fired. I would never go back to this business because they...
Read moreThese guys had showed extremely low PC knowledge when fixing my PC, I would never go here for PC issues. I was having an issue with my PC where it was constant blue screening stating there was a critical file failure, i couldnt repair the file myself resulting in other error messages, couldnt resintall windows without the system crashing before. I tried everything myself and tried checking wires/connections, after this I couldn't even start my PC. So i was frustrated with doing anything, brought my PC in told them about the blue screen error messages and my software needed fixing. They gave my PC back and it worked, but they stated the only issue was loose RAM seating but also that my GPU was failing and would need replacement. I thought it was weird because all the error messages I got lead to fixes regarding software. Got home after 40 minutes blue screened again back to how it was. So they simply reseated the loose RAM cards I had messed up and thought that would somehow fix all the blue screens I was getting. They simply said my GPU was bad was the cause of the blue screens and just ignored the blue screen messages I showed them. Well, after messing around with things constantly and finally reinstalling a fresh copy of windows my PC was fine. Its been 6 months+ that ive waited to write this review to make sure that it was actually not my GPU. Can confirm it was not my GPU as it works fine til this day. I would never go here or recommend this place...
Read moreI’m moving with my newborn so my dad offered to help me by bringing my computer to the store on Howe Ave - the same store that built this computer 4 years ago and installed the fans backwards. When my dad got there, he asked the employee Michael for help bringing the computer into the store. He was parked right out front. I’ve always had help bringing in the computer from every other employee. I’ve never had this issue before but today, Michael refused to help my disabled dad bring the computer inside. I’m a business owner. I can’t imagine letting an employee refuse to help an older disabled man carry a computer, let alone the computer THE STORE BUILT and has serviced for years. How the hell do you let your employees treat elderly people like this, let alone turn down return business?
This was by far the absolute worst experience I’ve had with the store and I feel horrible because my dad called me and said he felt bad having to come all the way back home with it because he knew how much we have going on and how I needed the computer repaired. I will not be giving the Howe Ave location any more of my business and I recommend if you’re older and need help carrying things — just take your computer anywhere else but here because you’ll just be told “It’s not my job,” when you ask for help bringing in...
