Schubert Club — Attraction in Saint Paul

A gem of a music museum located in the heart of St Paul.

Was lucky enough to catch a tour of the music museum here at Schubert club. Was blown away by the collection of antique and operable pianos dating back as far as the 1800s. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and presented information in a way that all audience of the tour we're able to understand. He was really good at engaging even the youngsters. Some of the pianos we're able to be played by members of the tour. In other areas of the museum you can play keyboards while watching a video with the instructor teaching various styles of music. Lastly we got to meet a conservator of instruments. He explained to us how his job is unique and what he does to make old instruments playable. I also learned that this museum is part of the club that offers music education to its community members.

A wonderful place if you're into music. Whether you play or don't play instruments it is a place to visit. Highly recommended for children as well. Again kudos to the volunteers...

This place is a hidden gem of the Twin Cities, and it's free. It's hosted in the gorgeous historic Landmark Center on the 2nd floor. When I went there, the staff member was extremely friendly and gladly gave us a demonstration of the organ. The real highlight for me was the first room, where you are allowed to play on several 19th-20th century pianos. How many times have I been at a museum and itched to play on the beautiful old instruments? There was also an interesting little room with non-European instruments, but most of the instruments were pianos.This place is great, and I'd definitely recommend it for any music...

Every Schubert club event I’ve witnessed has been excellent. To this point I had only heard concerts in the International Artist Series, but this past Sunday I had the distinct pleasure of attending a Schubert Club Mix concert in Minneapolis with Daniel Hope and the Air Ensemble - it was outstanding! Their programming is suberb and they offer enriching educational Materials to supplement the concerts as well. Makes me proud to be a Minnesotan.
