Gym staff is very friendly and the gym is very clean. They also have tanning beds, massage chairs, lounge hydromassagw chairs and 2 hyrdomassage beds. They have a vending machine you can use your app with and charges your card on file or you can use points you earn by going to the gym. Go 8 times a month and get 25 points. And 3 points per visit max once every 12 hours I believe. It could change is my guess, but that's what it currently is. Points are tracked through email and staff can check. They have a ton of different types of machines and many many treadmills and ellipticals. People are very nice and not judgemental here. To use the tanning beds, and massage things you need the black card membership and you can reserve it quickly with your app and usually little to no wait. They last 10 minutes and have music and sometimes picture to match the mucis you chose and are very relaxing and you have a lot of settings you can chose from if you want to for the chairs and beds. I have not used tanningbeds. Use any of these as much as you'd like. It's $25 a month for the black card and you can bring someone every time you visit, though usually guests cannot use those extra ammentities. You can also use any location with this card. Basic card is only $10, just to use equipment whenever you want no extra stuff or guests. The staff knows the machines well if you ever need help with anything. They do not have classes at this location. The app shows different workouts you can do. It also shows your checking time. To check in you use the app and click check in and scan it, or give them your phone number. Yhe app also shows crowd meter(not often crowded but for sure I love this!) They have many perks like coupons to places such as Oakley or hello fresh. Tons of perks and black card has more perks than basic. You can track your fitness journey on the app such as how long you're using the treadmill. You can also track how many times you check in per month. There are a few other features to the app, I recommend downloading to see how you like it. You can add or remove cards for your account there too. And upgrade to black card through the app. Referring friends can get you points $70 off fitbit and free months. Up to 3 times a year. It's worth it. I'll say I 100% recommend this gym. Some old guy was following me and I was going absolute random places to see if my gut was right and he kept going right behind me or next to me. I told gym staff and they handled the situation and made me feel very safe. Autumn is my favorite staff member so far though I've only had the member ship for like a week. Read moreIf I could give it ZERO stars I would!! DONT SIGN UP!! Everything may seem fine when you sign up until comes time when you want to cancel your membership. Then it becomes a problem. I canceled my membership back in September, when I went to the PF in Mid Rivers after to speaking to the store manager Shelby before I got there asking what needed to be done, the guy who was there at the gym said that I wouldn’t need to pay anything else including any past due balances and no more money would be taken out of my account; as what I spoke with Shelby on the phone before I arrived. Since then 2 MONTHS LATER, they are still taking money out of my account. I was already caught up on my account and was told that I didn’t need to pay anything else and that I was good to go. When the first month after I canceled came, I went BACK into the gym to talk to the store manager Shelby and put in a refund request for my money that they recently took out. After showing her my bank statement as needed for verification she said she would send it to her boss, and her boss would then send it to corporate, and then I would POSSIBLY get my refund, by either getting approved or denied. I asked her when would I know when it gets approved she said I wouldn’t. I then asked if there was a corporate number I can have so I can call them and find out what’s going on with my refund she said she can’t give that out. So still waiting on the refund for that month. Now November rolls around and they take out ANOTHER payment out! So now 2 months after I canceled my membership they have taken out 2 payments when I am no longer a member and have been told repeatedly that there wasn’t going to be anything left taken out. So now I am waiting for a call or email from the member support line in hopes to getting this finally resolved, because obviously nothing ever gets done at Planet Fitness Mid Rivers. They think they can just keep taking money out of my account as if I wouldn’t notice or care with me not even being a member anymore. Needless to say DONT WASTE YOUR TIME THERE OR YOUR MONEY! Because when it comes time to cancel it this happens. Go elsewhere!
Not even to mention that they don’t even pay their employees as well. I had a relative who worked there for a little over two months and they didn’t pay her. When she asked for her money they kept giving her excuses and when she asked for an employee Human Resource Number they said they couldn’t give it out, and ended up firing her for asking for her money of her working. She had also stated that a bunch of other coworkers she knows who worked there had the same problem.

Read moreEnough is enough After 4+ years, here we go… For having such a nice facility, the service has gone from ok to poor. Since I have signed up, I have emailed the corporate office 5x. 2 for mask policies, 2 for equipment issues, and 1 for a general question. I only received a response from 1 of them. This poor service in corporate is reflected in the staff at the stores as well. Bringing up equipment issues, being out of paper towels, or empty sanitizer bottles to the staff is ridiculous. I shouldnt have to tap you on the shoulder to pull your face from your phone as im 3 feet from you on the other side of the desk, or you shouldn’t give the impression that im interrupting your cell phone time when I have a question or issue with a piece of equipment. Aside from the facility being clean, I constantly see 2-4 employees doing nothing at the front desk. Playing on cell phones, or just standing doing nothing. Or the best one…playing on cell phones with earbuds in, with a vacuum strapped to your back while sitting at a machine (yes, I watched that last one happen a few times and he didn’t vacuum much at all). Where is the mgr in all this? I do see a black shirt which I think signafies As a customer, its infuriating when I must go to 3 different cleaning stations to get a paper towel to wipe off the equipment and I wish this was a onetime occurrence. Even worse, when I tried to get the attention of one the employees turning off the tvs on the treadmills/ellipticals to ask for a mgr about the paper towel issue, he couldn’t hear me cuz of the earbuds in his ear. By the end of fri night 5/6/22, there were 4 stations out of paper towels when I left around 8pm. If you come for the spacious and clean facility, you’ll be fine. Anything else, in my experience in 4+ years, is disappointing.
10/31/22 UPDATE After speaking with a regional mgr, nothing has changed. Took 4 months to fix the back extension. Paper towels are still out/not working so you have to go to multiple stations (just cuz it has paper doesn't mean it works). Multiple employees still stand around the front desk talking or playing on phones 95% of the time which wouldn't bother me so much if I could get paper from the first station I walk to.
