This is going to be a long one, but itâs important to share. My wife and I have been loyal Hannoush customers for about six years. I bought her wedding ring here, and over the years weâve purchased multiple giftsâMotherâs Day, anniversaries, you name it. Until recently, weâve always had great experiences.
In early July (around July 6th), my wife brought her ring in to be cleaned. The associate noticed that the band was getting thin and suggested sending it out for repair. That was fineâmy wife even mentioned that she wanted it back before our mid-August vacation. She was told the estimated return date would be July 25th.
The week of July 25th, I received a call saying the ring would be delayed a few days. Then another call a few days later with the same message. Eventually, we were told that the package containing my wifeâs ring (and several others) had been lost by FedEx.
When we went into the store, we were told that once FedEx officially deemed the package lost, weâd have two options: Take a payout through our protection plan, or Receive a replacement ring of equal value.
My wife asked what would happen if her original ring was later found. Alicia, the associate, told us clearly that if we took the payout, and the ring showed up later, weâd get the ring back and keep the payout. If we went with the replacement ring option, weâd simply swap the replacement back for the original if it was recovered.
After coming to terms with the idea that her engagement and wedding ring were gone, we decided to take the payout. To her credit, Alicia was kind enough to give my wife a $98 Pandora ring to wear on our vacation.
A couple of weeks later, the check arrived in the mail. My wife deposited it two days later. The very next day, I got a call from Alicia saying that the package had been found and that we would now need to return the payout before theyâd release the ring. When I reminded her that she had specifically told us we could keep the payout and get the ring back, she admitted, âI know thatâs what I said, but the owners are saying something different now.â
I reached out to the manager, who said theyâd talk to the owners. About a week later, the manager emailed us to say that the owners still refused to release the ring until the payout was returned.
I have a few questions that no one at Hannoush seems willing to answer: â˘Â    How is it that the ring âmagicallyâ reappeared the day after the check was deposited? â˘Â    Why wonât the owners speak to us directly and instead send messages through their staff? â˘Â    Why did the policy suddenly change after we made our decision based on what their own associate told us? â˘Â    And why were we told one day that the payout needed to be returned for insurance purposes, and another day that Hannoush is self-insured?
Nothing about this situation adds up. It feels inconsistent, unprofessional, and frankly, shady. Weâve been told this has ânever happened before,â but itâs hard to believe thereâs no clear process in place for something like this. It really feels like the owners are just figuring it out as they go.
The only positive thing I can say is that the associates themselvesâespecially Aliciaâhave been polite and respectful throughout all of this. But unfortunately, thatâs where the good experience ends. What should have been a simple repair turned into a...
Read moreEarly last week, I had the privilege of speaking with Mr. Issa Dawoud, the very personable Store Director of Hannoush Jewelers, who answered my call inquiring about a specific Pandora charm I was interested in. He listened intently as I described the music symbol charm I was hopeful to purchase. Literally within minutes of our phone conversation, Issa messaged me with 2 music symbol charm design photos. One of the two charms was exactly what I've been wanting to complete my Pandora charm bracelet. Issa then gladly took the time to check on the availability of this charm throughout the entire Hannoush Jewelry company! Mr. Dawoud, again within minutes, messaged me back and said he was able to get the very last charm of it's kind that their company had! Not only that, but Issa immediately ordered the charm and assured me it would be delivered to the store the following Friday, and that he would call me to confirm when the charm was in hand. Friday arrived and so did my phone call from Issa! WOW! Talk about professionalism and stellar customer service! Issa's dedication to promptly assure his customer's satisfaction is phenomenal! Issa masterfully reset all of the charms on my Pandora bracelet making it perfectly balanced beyond my expectations. He then asked his associate, Christine, to please clean it for me, which she surely did. Thank you, Christine! This jewelry transaction with Store Director, Issa Dawoud, was absolutely seamless! Thank you, Issa!
But, wait! I haven't gotten to the best part of my shopping experience at Hannoush Jewelers today!
While I waited for my bracelet to be cleaned, I'd decided to cool off from the extremely hot summer day and possibly look for a gift for my daughter. Issa kindly offered me a wonderfully cold bottle of water, which was precisely what I needed to cool off. Yes! I was truly enjoying myself and felt so relaxed! As I got cooled down, I asked Issa if he could direct me to the pearls so I could look over their selection. I immediately honed in on a beautifully crafted pearl ring in a white gold setting. It would be the perfect gift for my much deserving daughter. Issa calculated the sale price and; yep, I happily purchased the ring and also bought the full warranty to protect it. I'm thrilled with the purchase and can't wait to give it to my daughter!
This jewelry shopping experience was so refreshing and enjoyable. There was no sales pressure whatsoever, simply great prices and priceless customer service! Thank you, Issa Dawoud and Hannoush Jewelers!
If you're considering a jewelry purchase, please go and see all that Issa and his staff at Hannoush Jewelers have to offer. You'll be glad you did, and you'll have a fabulous time doing it; Issa and his staff are ready and waiting to serve you!
*Update! 7/7/22 Issa, my daughter loves her new ring! I wish I could add the picture of her wearing it!đ
Previous post with 4 stars...ââââ Although the selection of Pandora charms available (that were according to my particular liking and taste) were few, Beth was extremely patient and helpful. She literally showed me everything twice! Then when I had made my selection, Beth worked with me to line up all my charms just right, and cleaned my bracelet for me! Beth, I really appreciate your kindness and patience! You made everything sparkle!!! Thank...
Read moreThis is a long one⌠My husband and I have been loyal customers to Hannoush for 6 years, my husband bought my wedding ring here, weâve bought motherâs day gifts, and anniversary gifts here. And never had a bad experience until now. I took my ring in to be cleaned Early July, I want to say July 6th or earlier, and the associate noticed that my band was getting thin so she offered to send it off to be fixed, no problem. I even told the associate that I wanted to get it back before my vacation in Mid August. She told me that the estimated date to come back was July 25th. Well the week of July 25th my husband gets a call that it will be a few days late. A few days later we got the same call, itâll be another few days. The next call we got was that it was potentially lost. We went into the store and they said that FedEx had lost the package containing my ring and other customerâs jewelry, and that once FedEx deems the package lost we have a few options; 1) Take a pay out for the lost jewelry as we had the protection plan. 2) they would give us a ring of equal value to replace it. I asked what the steps would be the event my ring shows up. Alicia said that with the pay out we would just get our ring back. I specifically asked do we keep the pay out and she said YES. For the other option if my ring came back we would just swap back the ring they gave and the ring THEY lost. Based on those options and information and coming to terms with the loss of my engagement and wedding ring we decided to take the payout. I will say that Alicia was nice and did give me a $98 pandora ring to wear on my vacation. 2 ish weeks went by and we got the check in the mail, 2 days later I took it to the bank and deposited it. The next day my husband got a call from Alicia saying that the package showed up containing my ring and that we would have to pay back the pay out.. My husband reminded her that she told us that we would keep the payout and get our ring back and she said âI know thatâs what I said but this is what the owners are saying nowâ. My husband then reached out to the manager next in command and they said they would speak with the owners. After about a week the Manager emailed my husband that the owners want the payout back before they will release MY ring to meâŚ
How is it that the day after i deposited their check the ring magically appears? Why wonât the actual OWNERS talk to us about the situation instead of continuously having their associates speak for them? Why did they change their mind about the payout being returned? Why were we told one day that they need the pay out back for the insurance and then told another day that they are self insured? Nothing lines up with what they say and it is shady. They told us that this situation has never happened before, but i find it hard to believe that there is not some sort of protocol in place and they just handle things but the seat of their pants. The only upside to Hannoush is that the associates are always nice and respectful. Other than that shopping here could end up being...
