Great place to smoke a cigar! Good cocktails, decent food, ambience varies depending on the crowd and music of course… but they do a good job. Service is pretty good, also depending on who you get, where you sit, and how busy it is. The bartenders are decent which is better than average for DTSP, cocktails could be better made for the price though. The food is an improvement over other bar food and they have an above average wine menu. Location is what makes this a top choice. St. Pete has become very hipster and dog friendly in recent years, this location is on the forefront of that movement. Although most of the locals have been run off, you can still stop by here and enjoy a cigar out front watching the yuppies compete in parading their rescue dogs and spending money they don’t have to impress people they don’t know.

Boy did I love Flute and Dram. Had a great bottomless mimosa special which I did not pass up. The inside was so uniquely and beautiful designed. We had a very nice waitress and first sat inside and then outside to listen to the live music. I kept yelling requests after many glasses of champagne (yes, I am that girl) and the singer was so nice and took my Tom Petty and Chris Stapleton requests. He was very talented. The wine was perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed the charcuterie - yum. Thank you Flute and Dram - you added to a great wedding experience.

Love this place. Love love love this place. Jess, the manager, is top-notch and on point. And beautiful. Great family business. Best bartenders. Bar backs like Mina, keep you coming back every opportunity. Every night ,honestly. And my bestie, Miss Brenda, is here with me every night. Be sure to say hello and definitely try their meetballs. Best spot in St Pete. Trust me. And if you catch me not smiling, remind me too. I have a serious case of RBF. Lol. God brought me here. RIP Charlie Kirk. Lost but not forgotten.

We tried this place twice over the past few weeks. It's ran by the owners of Ruby's Elixir. What I would say is if you like Ruby's a lot, you probably won't like this place. While the whiskey selection is comparable at both, the vibe is the complete opposite. The waitstaff tends to be pretentious and if you are older and not pretty, they probably aren't going to be very friendly to you. You can't really get them to talk to you about the bubbles they have and why to choose one over the other.

In general, I expect the prices of champagne to be a bit higher, but I feel most of the rest of the prices are a bit high. The happy hour is decent where you get two for one with any of the bubbles under $16. However, happy hour is very competitive on Beach drive so if you are looking for a bargain this is not your place. During happy hour, you can get 25% off any spirit which can be a great deal if you are looking to try some of the higher end spirits. However, I'd also say there prices are about 25% higher than Rubys on a lot of them so you might as well go there if that's your crowd. I think prices are intentionally high to maintain the pretentious vibe.

From what I understand, they are taking over the space next to them and separating the Flute from the Dram. That could be interesting to see what happens to the vibe of both of...

I was told that Wednesday is half-price wine night at the flute. Went there last night. I was told I could buy the wine next door at their sister bar and still get the half price. I wanted to drink the wine there because it's much cooler (better A/C). Was with a friend who had a dog and wanted to sit outside. We ended sitting at the outside bar at the sister bar. Sarah the bartender, asked me if I wanted to go ahead and close out which I did. Once we did close out, Sarah was dismissive and bordering on rude. She definitely looked annoyed. Anyway, it was a $160 bottle which I got for $80. I tipped her $8 which I thought was generous for removing the cork and handing me 2 wine glasses. She rarely checked on us and we poured our own wine. Lesson learned. Dont close out until you're...
