Definitely a nice little museum if you like the war museums. They have a 10 min video about the history of the war and how Saipan was affected. There wasn’t a brochure with a map and the monuments aren’t well marked. The grounds are fairly sprawling and the walks are lined with flame trees. They also offer a weekly fishing program that seems to be popular with local children.

Wonderful place to spend hours, if not days soaking in the many fragrances of numerous varieties of flowers alone. This is a very well maintained park that should be visited often. Whether on a family outing, or just by yourself, be sure to take your camera and lots of batteries. I did!

Well done! Neat, organized park with a great museum. Make sure you ask the staff to show you the video. It explains the battle for Saipan in good detail. Then view the monument. A good reminder of the sacrifices of those who have gone before.

Good place to exercise, picnic or just chill. You can find a bench to sit on or bring your own chair or mat, but it may be hard to find shelter if it rains or shade if it's too hot. The area gets unexpectedly crowded some evenings, but people seem to keep to themselves so that's fine. So far no public restrooms though unless the one near the beach side is open; you'll have to try your luck with the museum or the nearby restaurants, bars or hotels (if someone can correct me if I'm...

Indoor walk through informational displays with a ton of interesting details, a full timeline of the events of the end of WWII, the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the relevance of Iwo Jima. Sound effects are used to strike up an emotional connection to that information read and physical remnants of airplanes, actual rifles used, helmets, and things of that sort are also on display. Far better and more thorough than any of the WWII memorials and informational displays...

Nice location, Great history museum, nature viewing and sports facilities are lacking. This park is focused on history and doesn't have some of the facilities that you would expect from and National Park Service park. The staff have been working hard to recover the park from the typhoons in the Marianas. It seems as though there are some updates in the works that will happen in the next year or so. Hopefully these improvements will send the park to...
