I stayed at Marianas Beach Resort in Garapan for a short vacation, and it turned out to be a great choice. The resort’s location is excellent—right on the beach with direct access and beautiful ocean views. It was easy to get around, with restaurants, shops, and tourist spots nearby, and only about a 20-minute drive from the airport.||The room was clean, air-conditioned, and had everything I needed, including a flat-screen TV, private bathroom, and a small balcony. Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay. I liked that there were different room options for families and business travelers, which made it feel like a good place for different types of guests.||The pool area was a highlight—especially the infinity pool with a view of the beach. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas available, and it never felt too busy. I also used the fitness center, which had the basics and was well-maintained.||Food-wise, the on-site restaurant served a good mix of American, Japanese, and international options. Breakfast was solid with local dishes, fresh pastries, and a range of drinks. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, whether eating solo or with others.||There were also extras like tennis courts, a sauna, a hot tub, and snorkeling opportunities, which added more ways to enjoy the stay without having to leave the resort.||Overall, Marianas Beach Resort is a convenient, relaxing place to stay in Saipan—especially if you want beachfront access, friendly service, and a mix of comfort and leisure. I’d recommend it for couples, families, or even solo travelers...
Read moreI stayed here back when it was the Hyatt, and again now. Compared with back then, the rooms are better now and the service is worse.
First the good. I was impressed by how new and updated the rooms look, especially the bed, the bedding, and the bathroom. Really up to Sheraton standard.
Front desk employees are hopeless. Any small request I have, they work hard to come up with an excuse why they can't do it. "Ohhhh, Sir, but...."
Tried calling 0 for front desk a few times from my room and nobody answered the phone. Tried their Line and WhatsApp hotlines that they tout (when you check in, you get told to use those hotlines if you need anything) and also nobody answered the messages.
Nice pool, cool and very helpful lifeguard, but lots of kids running around who aren't even hotel guests. I overheard them talking about how they just walk over here and use the pool. Also the pool is filthy (lots of debris floating in it, probably lots of urine) and nobody seems to care, very Saipan.
Weirdly the owner parks his personal cars in the lobby.
Ok place for Saipan, just don't expect too much. Lots of usual Sapian attitude and service. I think 99% of the reviews are...
Read moreThe gravel-treated roads around the resort are quite worn out, resulting in a lack of traction and making it easy to slip.
There are three ponds located in the middle of the resort, which disrupt the overall flow and make the layout rather inefficient. It's unclear what purpose these ponds serve.
The rooms are noticeably old, and the water that comes out is yellowish in color. It’s uncertain whether it’s been properly filtered.
The swimming pool and the beach in front are decent, but there is a serious lack of comfortable resting areas throughout the resort, including the lobby. Most of the available benches are uncomfortable, and in many cases, you have to pay extra to sit somewhere more comfortable — not very tourist-friendly.
On the positive side, the front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Many of them spoke multiple languages depending on the guest, and they were quick to respond to concerns or suggestions. Their attitude and service were truly commendable.
As for the breakfast, the quality was mediocre at best. While I understand that labor costs may play a role in pricing, the overall value did not...
