This was probably the worse hotel i ever stayed during my travels in AND it is expensive. . . it takes a lot for me to get to this point of disgust.. i was taken to my room and it was everything people complained about on another site. i had to remind myself that i just wanted a place to sleep and nothing more. the faucets were crusted with things on them. the head of the shower head was just as bad and caked up with stuff. areas in the room were dusty. i wiped my hand on top of the chair and it there was a streak left behind. the room smelled of mildew and the door just had a push button to lock on the knob. considering the condition of the room AND the lock i didn't deem safe enough. i was changed to another room after i told them of the problem. This other room was on the 2nd floor and had the same issue. after the 3rd time, the room was semi - okay. the issue with the 2nd room was the chain for the door to lock it was broken, so there was no way to lock the door- in addition to it still being poor quality. i stayed for about 8 days. they have a sign at the receptionist that says free ride to the airport, but that is only for people that book through them- not through any other website, so keep that in mind. sometime during. i heard one mane telling the receptionist that this was the best hotel he ever stayed at and i was very very very confused by his statement considering i saw 3 rooms, on different floors and they were all horrible. ||considering i had a "better room" i showered by laying a plastic bag in the shower to step on because the tup was horrible and dirty. the shower head was still crusted but not as bad as the other two rooms. the faucet was really crusted up tho. so to brush my teeth, i brought a gallon jug of water down stairs and used that to brush my teeth during my stay.||||also, keep in mind that the receptionist barely had english maps on their wall of maps of the island for guest.||there was construction going on at early hours, but it didn't bother me. ||||good points:||wifi was great||the grocery store /reception area was super cool for snacks, hot meals (they had soup there) and water.||they didn't fuss when i wanted to be moved around. ||||||and in case you think i'm lying about anything i've written, i posted pictures. I can not make this stuff up. This hotel is straight...
Read moreI recently dined at Himawari, which was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The ambiance is warm and inviting, with beautiful Japanese decor that creates the perfect setting for a memorable meal.
The menu offers an incredible variety of dishes, from fresh sushi to perfectly cooked tempura. I tried the sushi platter, and it was nothing short of amazing—the fish was incredibly fresh, and each piece was a work of art. The ramen was equally impressive, with rich broth and tender noodles that were simply mouthwatering.
The service at Himawari is top-notch. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to ensure you have a great dining experience. They even took the time to explain the different types of sushi to us, which made the meal even more enjoyable.
Whether you're a fan of traditional Japanese cuisine or looking to try something new, Himawari is the place to go. The quality of the food, the attentive service, and the cozy atmosphere make it a standout. I highly recommend Himawari to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience. I can't...
Read moreI originally booked this hotel through Hotwire and they had it listed as a 3 star hotel. I travel for work and so am familiar with properties with ranging star ratings. I went online and looked at the hotel's website and felt okay with my booking, I kept in mind that photos aren't always accurate. Upon entering our room and looking around we were quickly disappointed at what we saw with the accommodations. First, the sheets had stains on most of them, the floor was quite dusty, and the restroom was not clean. My partner and I ended up buying cleaning supplies and cleaned the restroom and mopped the floor throughout. The shower fixtures had an excess amount of calcium build up on them and the shower walls had stains that we managed to scrub off. We ended up checking out the next morning, 4 days earlier than planned. I'm sure the property is good for some, but it wasn't what we had expected. It should be noted that the property is in a great location, right downstairs is a store that sells all sorts of lunches and soups. Main hotel area and shopping is a...
