GameStop — Attraction in Salem

This is the worst business I've ever done business with. I made a purchase about a year ago and didn't think anything about it. Then, a few days ago, I got my account zapped for $26.56. For an auto renewal membership, I never paid for or set up. Come to find out thru some cold calling different stores, that at the time of purchase, the membership is set up, and if you paid with a credit card or debit card, the membership is linked to your debit account. I immediately tried calling Gamestop.... there isn't a live person AT ALL! The recording just loops. 45mins i waited with the same loop. The callback feature calls you back 10 minutes later, telling you there isn't anyone to help you. I've sent emails and no response. The corporation is a complete scam. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE. OF YOU DO, PAY CASH. DONT SIGN UP FOR ANY MEMBERSHIPS OR REWARDS CLUBS. NOTHING!! The company will just fleece you out of your resources. Shame on...

Pre-ordered the new switch online at Gamestop. The site said could then trade-in existing Switch at local store for a set amount. At the store, and single sales rep said they can only do it if bought in store (which was not correct). Contacted Corporate who confirmed they can and should do in-store and to simply request a manger. Second visit manager also said they could not. Either Corporate is providing false advertising and information on the process or the local GameStop is not following procedure /misinformed. Ended up trading in for significantly less since only 2 days left, and now we will have to reach back to Corporate who can hopefully reimburse the extra amount of have the store do it. The employees here are rude, don't like their own products, and would rather buy everything themselves than sell to customers. The assistant manager here will straight up tell you "all anime and anime games are junk, never worth playing or watching and you're stupid if you do" I Recently put 2 items on hold when I went to pick them up they told me my hold request had run out and an employee was holding them to buy on Monday. They told me hold requests only last 24 hours when GameStop cooperate policy is 48 hours end of day. They just lost hundreds of dollars of sales over two $2.97 items.
