If there was a 0 star I would do that!! It was in the salem NH mall. I did the sketching/drawing class and me thinking you know we'd learn like how to draw and shading all that I also thought it would you know maybe be more professional. Me and my mom went into the studio thinking it would be good and I had been so exited waiting for the day. We go to the class there's only 1 room, The man said to my mom we would be learning our own technique on how to draw and that made me happy.. once my mom left there was also two other boys with me and then we started the man did not care at all about his Utensils he said if we broke his stuff he really wouldn't care because it's all "JUNK" none of it was it was actually all really good stuff. The first class he also kept coming up to me telling me how he draws and his way of drawing it out many times when I did it how I like to draw which really annoyed me. I had left telling my mom I hadn't really liked it. She also paid 160 no refunds. Next art class he did the same things he treated the boys better than me as a girl that really annoyed me. My mom had bought me a drawing book she spent 10$ on!!! He didn't let me use it even though he kept bragging to me how good the material was. He told me to use the cheap ones that also are very thin. Very disappointed never going back!!!!! Tables look much more different then pictures on website

Read moreI wish I caught his name, but whoever was working around 1:00 was amazing. I was gifted a gift card two christmas’s ago, and we were holding out for a special day to use it. Today, we used it as part of our “valentines” date. We walked in and was given ample time to make our selections on the piece and the paints. It was quiet and peaceful and a whole lot of fun.The helping artist would check in on us every so often to make sure we had all supplies we needed. I see lots of negative reviews regarding them pouring the paint out for you, but honestly, it’s best that way. It doesn’t get mixed with other paints by accident by others not being aware, as well as, you never really need that much paint to make a beautiful piece, but if you do, you just simply ask. I picked the colors I wanted and ended up wanting to add another, but needed it to be a lighter shade. The helping artist came and poured the perfect mix to get the shade needed. We had a great time & I can’t wait to see all the sip and paints in the future so I can attend!! We were not an artistic couple, but he still commented on how well they looked! Thanks for...
Read moreI adore this place. Most of the time when my kids go to paint a pottery places what comes back is a goopy mess. This couldn't be further from the truth for what my children brought back from their time at Hammar's Art Studio. Brianna has such an amazing way with the kids. She teaches them techniques that they can do on their own that make the pieces look AMAZING. She taught them to be patient as they painted, how to sponge off some of the paint to give it this wonderful patina effect, and how to do it sequentially so that the end result was something they were SOOOOO proud of. Brianna even explained to my 6 year old daughter the secrets to making the eyes look real by adding a little white dot on the colored part. Now my daughter regularly adds that white spot in her drawings of people to "make them look real." I love that they don't give you insane amounts of paint all at once, that way my kids were way less likely to knock them over like they normally do. Hammar's also has perfectly sized aprons to keep your little ones clean too. We will surely...
