I canât stress enough how AWESOME Amelia was, I would give more than 5 stars if possible. Long story short I had bought an engagement ring online and had it shipped to Kay in Salem NH I got my fiancĂ© sized but the size was wrong we had it resized twice and it didnât come out right the second time. Amelia had helped us get it replaced with the right size at no extra cost even though it was outside the exchange window and she even transferred over the protection plan. When we went to pick up the new, properly sized ring she had asked if we had already had a wedding band for my fiancĂ© and we didnât so she showed us a bunch of different ones and nothing was to our liking. She had informed us that making a custom piece was possible. My fiancĂ© was thrilled so we sat down for a good while and had talked out the process and my fiancĂ© had told her what she had in mind for the ring. She took her time with us and was patient throughout that process. When the images showed up of what the ring would look like my fiancĂ© at first was concerned because it wasnât what she had in mind and she had a few questions to ask. Amelia did everything she could to answer her questions and what she didnât know, she found out. Once the wax mold showed up my fiancĂ© was satisfied with the look and they started the process of making the actual ring. Yesterday it had shown up and we went in today to try it on and check it out. It came out PERFECT. Exactly what my fiancĂ© was looking for. Amelia was patient and understanding throughout the entire process and reassured us that everything was at our say and in our hands. She was so helpful every step of the way. She really made it a point to develop a relationship with us treating us like clients and friends rather than customers. I canât thank her enough for making my bride to beâs idea a reality. When we came into this we knew we might not be able to get the ring till after we were married due to the time the process takes, but in this case, we were lucky to have received the ring just in time. Lastly the biggest thing for most people, the price including a protection/maintenance plan (for any repairs or resizing) was at a very affordable price and in my opinion was an absolute STEAL. I am beyond disappointed with the way these people have treated me has a customer that have been buying from Kay's for years. I don't even know where to begin, My fiance and I went to the store to get a new ring and they told me I would get it with 2-3 weeks and no one called us to notify us that it has changed. When I called them because it was taking to long the lady told me that it would take up to two months meaning I will get it at the end of January and that's very upsetting because we are moving.
Secondly, We bought a wedding band set from them and due to the pandemic, I had to quarantine because I was around someone that has Covid and couldn't go in the store to return the bands because I was not in love with them. The manager Lauren told me they can not accept the return because it's pass the 30 days and that I'm three days late even though I did explain that I was on quarantine couldn't come into the store but I had called to inform someone of the matter. Lauren was extremely rude and didn't want to be bothered with the issue and didn't want to help. She wouldn't answer my calls and when they finally do they inform me that I would get a call back but never end up doing so. Apparently customers that call over the phone DON'T matter to them! I have called customer care requesting to speak with regional manager and it's been almost 2 weeks now and still nothing! These people are happy to make a quick commission of you but later if you have an issue with the item THEY will NOT HELP! I feel extremely stuck and out of options and wish I had never went to that location or shop at Kay's at all. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND NOR WILL I EVER GO BACK TO SHOP! Thatâs the reason why I canât get off my finger brought it to the store they sent it away. They said they will fix it my ring for lifetime with no cost if anything happened to it they not gonna charge me because I want to hell with this ring, I have a custom made my ring but didnât come out the right so they keep fixing it. Thatâs why they said to me they will fix my ring for lifetime guarantee no charge now my ring now to be like that I donât know what happened itâs platinum shouldnât be scratch and turn like that my ring is not roud anymore rectangle or something I have no idea what I did Iâm a manicure work on customer all day long.
