DJ Nail spa — Attraction in Salt Lake City

I've come here a couple of times and it was okay. This was my third time here, and even though we had an appointment scheduled for 6 pm, we were not seated for our manicures until 7:05 pm. When I showed the picture of my design, my nail artist seemed very frustrated and huffed and puffed - I didn't know why since it's a very simple and basic design. It took an hour to do, and at the end they said it was $45.

I couldn't believe it was that expensive for such a basic manicure - one that wasn't done well, at that. These were supposed to be my nails for a festival, I have no time to have them re-done, and I'm super sad about how they turned out - along with my experience. These nails should've been $30. I can get a full acrylic set for $45, Idk why they charged me so much for these when they don't even look like the example picture I showed them.

If they were done well, I would understand. However, the nail artist they had working on me was clearly uncomfortable with doing anything other than a plain, full color nail. I'm assuming that's why she huffed and puffed when I showed her my design. I wish they would've given me a nail artist that was more capable of doing basic designs - but apparently you have to get acrylic nails here in order to get a "good" artist. If you like getting gel manicures, I wouldn't recommend...

I’ve gone here on and off throughout the past few years as I tried other salons when I first moved here to find a consistent favorite. This is by far my favorite, and where I’ll only go from now on. It’s never too busy of an environment, some places can be really loud and overwhelming. They always take you right at your appointment time if not sooner which is really appreciated when you have a busy schedule. Lastly, the salon itself is kept super clean and the prices are really reasonable compared to some of the pricier salons in the surrounding area. They offer their own rewards program which is very simple - you just have to put in your phone number when you arrive on their iPad and the points rack themselves up with a few dollars off every x amount of visits. All of the nail techs are really kind and do a great job. Mai is amazing at looking at your inspo pics and making it happen, especially picking the colors for you based off of the pics. She’s also really talented with designs! I’ve never left the salon unhappy with what I’ve gotten and I’ve never gotten so many compliments on my nails. 10/10 would recommend this place...

I was able to get an appointment with Mai the same day I called. When I walked in, she was doing someone else’s nails at my appointment time. After about 15 minutes, I was seated with a different woman (whose name I unfortunately don’t know) who was very lovely and helpful. She filed off the gel I currently had on, and then she patiently helped me pick colors and shaped my nails which, in my opinion, made them look fabulous. I hadn’t even realized how uneven and inconsistent my nail shape had been until she fixed it all. I will say that cleaning up my cuticles became a bit painful.

They switched places when it was time to do nail art. Mai very quickly understood what I wanted and got out more products to fit the inspiration picture I showed her. I honestly can’t believe how beautiful she made the snowflakes.

I absolutely LOVE these nails and will definitely be back. I’m willing to wait a bit for my appointment to start if it means I can get amazing nail art like this for a...
