I didn't float, but I got a float session for my girlfriend and we traveled from southeastern Utah to have a weekend "in the city".
My gf loved her float, it was so wonderful seeing her so happy after she was done! She glowy and said she did feel very relaxed. She would 100% do it again.
For others new to the experience, the first thing to know is that you float without a swimsuit (I'm pretty sure it's so there isn't detergent or something in the float pod later). For those that menstruate, they also don't want you floating while you are menstruating, I'm sure so there aren't bodily fluids in there for the next person. They also offer you a bathroom visit before you enter your float pod. The third thing is they do want make up removed before entering, again I presume due to contaminants in the pod.
My gf said the float was super neat. There was about a foot of water, but she was very impressed that as a "thicc lady" (her words, not mine!!!) that she didn't touch any sides or anything. There was soft music, and some lights she really liked watching. They changed color and one color was so vibrant she felt like she shouldn't be able to perceive it. She also enjoyed a minute of experiencing weightlessness.
After the pod you shower, my gf said the salinity made it feel slimey but it wasn't actually slimey. They also hairdryers available and brushes.
There is a tea room for relaxation post float, or while waiting for a float session, or between floating and massage. I only bought the one float, so my plan was to sit in the lobby and read. They let me hang out in the tea room, which was super nice of them! There were snacks and beverages available (tea and cold bottled water) and soft music. The lights are usually dim but they turned the main lights on so I could read. An hour passed by really quickly!
All in all, my gf enjoyed it so much I just might join...
Read moreThe spa was beautiful what I saw of it, the hostess didn't even show/tour us around or show us where the bathroom was... which is pretty critical in most of the spas that I've used. I tend to use the bathroom at least once after floating and my bladder always feels ready to explode after because of the deretic process the pod creates in the kidneys. I guess they assume that you could pee down the drain in the shower? It's ladies running the day spa and you would think that they would realize most women use two towels for their shower one for their hair and one for their body. I opened the door and kindly ask for a second one. I
While overall nice ambience the customer service and the authentic care was lacking. The sitting room already smelled like coffee which is a total turnoff. I'm not here to bash on people but I feel like if you're going to offer a service you may as well go all the way with it and create a five-star returning clientele experience.
And at the end of it tranquil and peaceful float where I was closing my eyes and relaxing the time goes by you don't realize at the end the Jets stimulate the water and circulate to clean were so loud that it was bringing me almost completely out of my experience in the float pod.
Anyways if you tweaked a few things it could be an excellent experience.
By the way the TV in the entryway doesn't work when your greeting and checking out other guests while having other guests new guests I might add trying to listen to the demonstration on the TV. that was highly annoying because I couldn't even hear the TV while another lady was laughing walking out. That almost needs to be in its own separate...
Read moreWhat an incredible experience I had today! From the moment I walked in, I was treated like royalty by the friendly and welcoming front desk receptionist. She was absolutely delightful, making me feel right at ease as I checked in. As I made my way to the meditation room, I was blown away by the array of goodies and treats that were available to enjoy. It was like a little oasis of calm and tranquility, just what I needed to unwind after a busy day.
But the real highlight of my visit was the floating experience itself. I have to say, I was a bit skeptical at first - I mean, floating in a tank of water? It sounds a bit weird, right? But trust me, it's a game-changer. As a busy professional, I'm always on the go, always running from one thing to the next. And let me tell you, it can be exhausting. But floating is a whole different story. It's like a deep relaxation, a chance to let go of all your worries and just be present in the moment.
I floated for a good 45 minutes, and I have to say, it was one of the most relaxing experiences I've had in a long time. My mind was completely quiet, and I felt like I was able to let go of all my stress and anxiety. It was amazing. And the best part is, it's not just a one-time thing - I can do it again whenever I need to unwind. I'm already planning my next visit, and I can't wait to experience that feeling again.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking to relax and unwind. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the facilities are top-notch, and the floating experience is truly life-changing. So if you're feeling stressed and overwhelmed, do yourself a favor and give it a try. You...
