Rise4 is truly a step above all other gyms and Sam Stephens is an exceptional personal trainer who I cannot recommend highly enough. He is one of the most committed, passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced trainers I have ever worked with. I first met Sam during one of his classes at Rise4. I was struggling in class and he kindly and gently coached me through that class. After class we discussed some of my limitations and struggles I had been having with my shoulder since having surgery. I decided to try some one on one personal training sessions with Sam to address my shoulder problems with the hope of gaining just a little more mobility and strength. After my first session with him I could tell he was very different from any other trainer I had worked with in the past. He genuinely cared about trying to help me achieve my goals and was incredibly insightful in his assessment of my limitations and how to address these. Every session that I did with him was thoughtfully planned, fun, and he always motivated and pushed me in just the right ways; but, he also understood and acknowledged my fears and limitations and never pushed me past a point that I could not handle. One of the things that I greatly appreciated about Sam was that at the start of every session he always asked me how I was feeling and on the days that I maybe was not 100% he responded to that and changed our session. In the 5 months that I worked with Sam he not only helped me achieve my goals but exceeded those goals. I regained mobility and strength in my shoulder, something I had lost for the last 15 years and thought I would never get back. In addition, he helped me gain full body strength and confidence in my shoulder again. I have never felt better in my life and I am now playing tennis at a higher level than I ever have. The strength classes are well-structured, challenging, and always motivating. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and make sure youāre using the right form while pushing you to reach your full potential. There is enough variation from day to day to keep it interesting and fun, but continuity on a weekly basis to grow strength. The gym is equipped with a wide variety of equipment including landmines, ropes and sleds to add to variation. The programming of the classes ensure that you get full body workout. The gym and equipment is always very clean. The atmosphere is always very welcoming and positive.
In addition to regularly attending the group fitness classes, Iāve been working with Shannon for physical therapy for over a year now to recover from an injury. Shannon is truly dedicated to the health and recovery of her clients. It is clear that she genuinely cares about her patients' well-being and is deeply committed to helping them achieve long-term results. Her knowledge and skill in physical therapy are excellent.
