Salt Lake Lagree ⦠there are not enough words for how grateful I am for these classes, the instructors, the environment, and the friends I have bonded with and met by being a part of this community.
I joined a good friend for my first class in Sept 2022, and⦠It. Was. Hard! I had no idea what to expect, but I will tell you, I worked for it BUT I had a blast. Before my first class, I loathed group fitness classes, was a casual runner (we are talking slow 5kās, not marathons) and mildly active otherwise, but Lagree was fun and a creative way to workout.
Iāve been consistently attending classes since Sept, and I have loved every single one. I love the instructors, the music, the workout, and the people I spend my time with when Iām there. And after a lifetime of body-shaming myself (Iām almost 40), I can recognize that I have a completely different body than I did 6 months ago. More importantly, I am so proud of what my body can do - I am STRONG.
The classes are challenging (like⦠buckle up), but the people and the community make them seem like a social hour that transforms your body and gives your mental health a giant hug.

Since my full hip replacement 4 years ago, it has been extremely difficult to find an intense workout that isn't high impact and isn't strengthening by using heavy weights. This workout has really been a game changer for me. Because of the slow speed of the movements, more muscles are forced to engage. Muscles turned on for me for the first time since my hip surgery. Years of regular reformer Pilates classes did not do what the Lagree classes do. I'm pretty pain free these days and I know I am getting stronger and stronger. In addition to the workout, I love the community. During the pandemic, it has always felt so safe, with the temperature checks, mask requirements, frequent sanitation, distance between machines and good air flow. Some days, going to Salt Lake Lagree for a class is the only social interaction that I have outside of my house. The instructors are so awesome! Earlier this spring, I decided to try Salt Lake Lagree and see if I could get in shape for my 40th birthday. Within only 3.5 months, I saw far greater results than I could even imagine. For the first time ever, my abs, legs, and arms are visibly toned. I also lost 14 lbs and I feel so much stronger and more energetic than ever before. I especially recommend Salt Lake Lagree for its excellent instructors, convenient class schedules, beautiful space and their high dedication to health and safety issues. During COVID, SL Lagree staff checks each attendee's temperature, provides sanitizer, and has spaced out their machines quite far - all of which gives me a peace of mind.
