When I usually come to Buttercup, my experience with the staff is more delightful and accommodating than it was this time around. The girl who took our order didn't seem to know a lot about the menu, especially the lunch boxes. She genuinely seemed confused when I brought up things about them. With every previous experience, we could substitute a side "green" salad for a different one (elote or chicken salad). Instead, I was told that they cannot do that and was charged an additional $8 for the smallest portion that you could possibly imagine with way too many crackers and the smallest spoonful of salad (separate dish). The manager or lead was not very friendly when asked to be given a little more salad instead of the small portion that we got today and insisted that they NEVER did substitutions for their salads. When I showed them picture evidence of a previous time I got the same lunchbox with the substitution, their excuse was "Oh, the menu has changed a lot." & they tried charging us an additional $8 for another order because we came back and asked for a little bit more than what we got. It is absolutely ridiculous and overpriced. This is a picture that I showed them with my substitution (previous time) no additional charge. Not worth it at all & the manager or lead tried to say they never did substitutions.

I often visit Buttercup Cafe and always have such a great experience that I had to leave a positive review! This coffee shop has a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The decor is fun and whimsical, with plenty of unique touches. The customer service at Buttercup Cafe is truly exceptional. The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. They were happy to answer my questions and make recommendations, and went out of their way to ensure that my visit was a great one. Of course, the real star of the show is the coffee. Buttercup Cafe serves up some of the most delicious coffee I've ever tasted. It's smooth, rich, and just the right amount of bold. And let's not forget about the food - the goat toast is so yum! I could easily eat it every day and never get tired of it. Overall, I can't recommend Buttercup Cafe enough. Whether you're looking for a place to catch up with friends, work remotely, or simply enjoy a great cup of coffee and a tasty snack, this coffee shop is a must-visit. Don't hesitate - go check it out for yourself!

1st time trying this place out. My partner and I weren’t let down. I got an iced mocha and it was exactly what I needed for the day. 😋 It was sweet but not to sweet and the coffee flavor was strong with subtle after taste. :) Just the way I like it. We both decided to share the hummus lunch Box. Its comes with a sandwich that has hummus, lettuce, cucumber, and pickled onions, a side salad and their chips which I believe are house made. Needless to say we got seconds. It was a perfect light lunch to energize us for the day. Definitely recommend . Especially if your vegan/ Vegetarian. They also have options for meat eaters. But to find a good spot with decent vegetarian/vegan options is hard to find. Will be coming back soon.

I’ve been a few times and sadly every time they’re out of many things. They also never know what they have or don’t and often have to ask someone else what’s available so you’re just waiting with customers behind you. As for coffee, you never know what you’ll get. Sometimes a barista knows what they’re doing and other times they’re clueless. Their cold brew is only memorable because it’s not great. Tried a regular cold brew with cream and even though I’m sensitive to caffeine, felt nothing. Coffee flavor didn’t knock me off my feet or anything. It’s sad when Starbucks is better. The blended Vietnamese coffee tastes more like a tablespoon of cold brew and the rest ice and milk. Unsatisfying unless you’re just wanting some kind of sugar high but even then it wasn’t that sweet for Vietnamese. The caramel cold brew was nothing special either. Loads of caramel, barely coffee. My friend didn’t even drink hers and I ended up drinking it because I had barely any sleep the night before and needed to drive. It didn’t provide a boost of energy at all. The muffins? I remember eating them but their flavors are missing. Nothing better than a dry convenience store or donut shop muffin. They crumbled. I finished mine just to have something in my stomach before the drive. The place is clean at least, welcoming in some ways but not much seating. Parking is a bit of a pain too. If you want a good roast and coffee flavor with good food, I’d head somewhere else. Angelo has plenty of awesome brews. It’s just not going to be found here. Many college students go here for the sugar but don’t seem to know what a...

Very disappointed with our visit. We were here 2 years ago and the service was great, and the drinks were amazing! We were told there was an ownership change, but thought not a lot probably changed. Well were we wrong......the first disappointment was getting our drinks in paper cups, vs the ceramic mugs they had typically used, AND we dined in vs getting them to go. This may not seem like a big deal, but when you dine-in to a coffee shop it is about the experience as much as the coffee. The second disappointment was we had to wait extremely long for our order as well, which was a huge change from the last time. I do not have a problem waiting for an order for good coffee, but 15 minutes is plenty long, and they were not that busy. We decided to come back for a second day to give it another try, and our experience was similar to the first day. However, on the second visit, we specifically ordered our drinks to come in the ceramic mugs and were told yes, that would be no problem. However, when my drink was brought out, it was brought out in a paper cup (with a huge wait time, again) and I was told there were no more ceramic mugs available. Upon getting up to leave the cafe, I noticed there were stacks of mugs on the shelves behind the counter.

The overall experience gave me the impression that we were an inconvenience and that our business wasn't really desired, we have other choices and will be checking those out on...
