It’s really a matter of you get what you pay for. When trying to move in, they really weren’t very considerate of our time, because they kept delaying our move in date to fix things even though our apartment was empty for over two months. We’re lucky we still had a place to stay but someone who doesn’t have that opportunity would have wound up essentially homeless while they waited for their apartment. Granted, the compensated us for the rent the next month, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t frustrating.
We get to move in day and we knew the AC was broken, but they assured us it was fixed. I triple checked and kept hassling the office to get on it because we were moving in the dead of August when it was 115 outside. We signed the lease after they guaranteed us that it was fixed. We go to move our things in and the maintenance people are just in the apartment messing with it, and it’s 95 inside. Absolutely terrible. But nonetheless, it got fixed by the end of the night.
We’ve seen bugs here and there but really just a couple big roaches from outside when we open the door. If you keep your apartment clean, you won’t have bugs. No ants, roaches, etc.
4 months in, it’s starting to get cold outside so we switch our heater on but come to find out it doesn’t work. We put in a work order, and have yet to hear anything back three days later. It warms up over the weekend, now it’s almost 80 in here so we tried to tuned the ac back on, and that doesn’t work anymore either. Again.
Can’t get a hold of anyone because the office is always closing around noon now, and can’t find a number on the website to call anyone for emergency maintenance because the website is no longer in service.
Again, it’s a cheap budget friendly apartment. There’s definitely imperfections in the unit, such as half the electrical outlets in here don’t even work. Neighbors are nice, it’s mostly quite except a few crazies here and there, and as long as you don’t have maintenance issues or fix the problems yourself, you’d be okay. But we’re already trying to look to move because to us, the hassle really hasn’t been worth it for what we need.
EDIT FOR RESPONSE———-
I would like to add that the office is not closing “early for the holidays”. Going through the chat system history, they have been closing early almost every day since the end of October. Don’t make excuses for poor management.
Also, through your response to this review amongst others, the responses seem defensive and there is a lack of accountability to issues stated on your...

I do not post a lot of reviews, but this place is a wonderful place to live. I have been very happy. I have to wonder if the one bad review was posted accidentally for the wrong apartments? I have never had any trouble here. Very rarely do I have to call maintenance. The last time was because the bulbs burned out in the lights on the vaulted ceiling. They came and replaced the bulbs immediately. Neighbors are quiet and peaceful. If you are a working professional like me, this place is perfect.
February 2020: Update on original review: I have lived here now 1 year and 4 months. It is the perfect place to live! The neighborhood is still peaceful and quiet, yes - even on a Saturday night! My apartment is clean, quiet, and pest free. I've only had to call maintenance a couple of times and they came immediately every time and fixed the very small issues right away! They replaced the batteries in my smoke alarm and fixed my blinds. The office even had my carpets cleaned for free when I asked. I have been very, very happy here.

Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would. I lived there from august 2015-august 2016 and then did month to month until October of 2016. We had so many problems with bugs even though they claim they sprayed monthly which I never saw them do, our a/c continuously broke they would come "fix" it after I harassed them but it was never actually fixed!!! There were so many leaks in the apartment that i also harrashed them about but they never did anything about it!!!! We had a tree fall down in front of our apartment and part of it was leaning on a power line for weeks! Mind you I was 9 months pregnant I couldn't even get in and out of my apartment! The tree stayed there for two weeks until my husband took pictures and went to social media to call them out!!! (Because management NEVER answers their phone). And NOW I am getting letters from a collection agency saying I owe them $130... I got the first letter last month and called the collection agency AND AVISTAR but received no answer or call back after I left voice mails for them to listen to!!! And today I got a letter saying it's going on my credit!? I didn't even know i owed Avistar money because they never sent me a letter saying so not even a damn phone call!!!! This place is shady do not waste your time...
