I got my hair cut with Erica yesterday at 11. Now I came here with the impression that I was going to get a fantastic hair cut and the next day when I did my hair myself (today), I was upset with the real results I got from my hair cut. I originally got a haircut from Great Clips about a month ago, and the lady messed up my hair when I wanted layers which my hair was left uneven and feeling very damaged still. Fast forward to now, I saw y'all on Instagram, read the reviews and I gave y'all a chance. Now I don't want to come off mean at all, Erica is a very sweet lady and conversating with her was lovely but I didn't think she achieved the style I wanted. I showed a reference that I wanted short layers, aiming for a choppy look. She asked me if I wanted a "blow dry" which I said yes to (not telling me it was extra and it was called a blowOUT"). She cuts it, does the blow out and uses the products which yes it made my hair look good in the moment but when it's straightened out which is what I did, you can feel and see the uneven layers. I was very sad and disappointed because I came here for someone to fix a mistake that I got somewhere else JUST for it to happen again on top of that, payed a VERY high amount. I honestly don't mind me paying a lot, but if the blowout/blowdry was extra I would have loved for that to be told it was going to be extra before I said yes. I honestly had hopes, and I was just let down AGAIN... Again I'm not trying to bash on this individual, I'm just very disappointed with the results and I just want a refund at this point.
EDIT- I even have photos for proof Unstraightened and Straightened!!
EDIT 2- Katie called me back and offered to coffect the mistake. Can't wait to see how they're...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreScheduled a partial foil. Timeframe scheduled was just a little over two hours.
Never had an issue at any other salon getting a partial highlight/lowlight, cut and blow dry in this timeframe.
From the moment I walked in I explained what I wanted....cleaned up hi/lowlights and trim. Was told this timeframe is not enough time and was only given highlights. I asked if I scheduled the wrong service online and was told no. I was told my shoulder length hair was too fine and I had a lot of hair so a haircut might not be possible in the two hours alloted. Well truthfully two hours is plenty, however a lot of time was spent fumbling with the foils and the foil box, having to put down my hair to grab a foil she lost, or running to the back for more supplies because she wasnt prepared. We did end up having time for a haircut. The haircut was a trim that took between five and ten minutes max. I figured the cut was a given with the service provide. Nope that was $50 for 5 minutes of work. Total charged was $270 for only highlights and a five minute cut.... not to mention constant reminding of the timeframe. Constant reminding of the timeframe must have come free of charge even though I was reminded I booked the correct timeframe.
I've been to many salons over the years, even in Hawaii where prices are usually higher. I've never paid more than $175 for the services I've just mentioned and it included a blow-dry.
I will say I did love that they are vegan/cruelty free and are a part of the green circle salons. That $3 charge for the green fee i didnt mind.
Overall run to a different salon.... don't walk... unless you love throwing your money out the window and being reminded of your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSadly I didnāt get the look that I wanted. My appointment took 5 hours and total was $390. I asked for a balayage with lighter ashier tones and for a money piece. You can see how harsh the line is from my root to the blonde. It just looks like my roots are outgrown and the color is very orange and yellow. Balayage should be more natural and gradient from the root to the ends. The owner came in half way through my appointment after all of my hair was bleached and asked what was it that I am trying to achieve? I was very confused by the question since my hair was already all bleached.
When I called the next morning and spoke with the stylist she told me she also was not happy with the color and wanted do another toner as well and said she knew it would be harder to achieve a natural look with my length of hair.
I feel like her doubt shouldāve been shared before we even started so we couldāve tweaked it to be more natural looking instead of burning all of my hair first. They offered to fix it tomorrow and at first I agreed but after showing friends & family they suggested I just take my loss and to go somewhere else. I did not request a refund nor was it offered. My lesson is, just because something is expensive does not always mean itās better.
I did enjoy the environment and how pleasant everyone was. Itās a very clean & cute salon and they even offer cookies & wine during your visit. The owner offered other services and said theyāre available if/when I decide to have it fixed, but thereās no...
