šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡²ā¤ļøJamaicans gather here !!!! Real yaadies Please come to front !! This is real real Jamaican Food – A Taste of Jamaica in San Antonio! If you’re searching for authentic Jamaican food in San Antonio, look no further! This spot serves up the best Jamaican dishes I’ve had outside of Jamaica. We ordered oxtail, jerk chicken, fried chicken, patties, ripe plantain , festival and rice and pease and every single bite was bursting with flavor. The oxtail was perfectly tender, seasoned to perfection, and falling off the bone. The jerk chicken had the right balance of heat and smoky spices, exactly how it should be. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of that distinct Jamaican flavor. And the patties? Oh my goodness! They were sooo good—flaky, fresh, and filled with savory goodness. I’m ordering a whole box to take home because one or two simply isn’t enough! The food isn’t just good; it’s a true representation of Jamaican culture and cuisine. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and the quality is top-notch. If you’ve been craving a real taste of Jamaica, this is your place. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommended for anyone who loves Jamaican food or wants to experience it for the first

Today we were hoping not to visit that place by Military. They are waay too over priced, the food is at times waay over spiced which takes away from enjoying what little taste remains, and the Jerk chicken is dry. Even though they pride themselves as being a Jamaican restaurant with a twist/elevated, the authenticity is hugely lacking. Brand Jamaica should not be taken lightly. Then comes Real Real Jamaica šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡² šŸ’Æ all di way mi seh! I'm am so thrilled that I found authentic Jamaican cuisine via Real Real Jamaica. Today I bought two large Oxtail meals and a small Jerk chicken. The Oxtail pieces are sized perfectly, exactly what I'm accustomed to, not the big ole Oxtail pieces you find in the local grocery store chain. The rice and peas was perfect, I could actually taste the coconut, YES!! The spice on the Jerk chicken was balanced and not over powering, my taste buds sang a tune I Ionged for. All, take it from me, if you want to taste the Real Real Jamaica, whichs boasts it's authenticity with every bite, I implore you to get your but down to.......................Real Real Jamaica šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡². I highly recommend. A++ **Oh, did I mention their food is priced just right** **Mi seh dem food price naah gu bruck di bank** **Very Affordable **

This place has really gone downhill. I spent $28 on the oxtail and jerk chicken combo and it was a disappointment! The oxtail had more bones than meat and the jerk chicken was extra dry and tasted like bland baked chicken with no seasoning. I got up to inform the waitress about the issues but all she stated was that it was jerk chicken and they had to get the jerk seasoning elsewhere and just said sorry and didn't try to rectify the situation. I ended up not eating it and left the establishment. If you love Jamaican food like I do, this place isn't it! I wouldn't spend my hard earned money at this establishment again. Edit: Response to the owner: If you read the post correctly, it didn't state anything about me wanting the chicken spicy it was "extra dry and tasted like bland baked chicken with no seasoning". My boyfriend got the rasta pasta which was a different plate than the one I received so why would he complain about the same thing? Instead of being combative why don't you look at some of your poorly rated reviews within the last 6 months and improve the quality of your food and customer service so you wouldn't be receiving reviews such as this.

This customer service was so unacceptable, this business does not even deserve me to address the food. Because no matter how good the food is, when this is how you act towards your customers, you do not deserve our patronage!

I placed an order with Uber Eats. Oxtails with two sides, choosing Bammy and Dumplings in the Uber Eats application. The business calls me to tell that they are out of Bammy. She asks whether I simply want double Dumplings. I asked whether I have other options to replace it, and am transferred to the manager. She restates that they are out of Bammy, and I tell her, yes, I am wondering what my options are to replace it. She starts raising her voice, telling me Bammy does not come with the oxtails entree that I ordered. I said that was how it showed in Uber Eats. Then she started yelling that there was a mistake on Uber Eats, that even if she had Bammy she was not going to give it to me. Referencing what her colleague told me, I said then it was fine, I would double the Dumplings. She then starting yelling over me, threatening to cancel the order. In my regular, not yelling tone, I told her I did not need her to do that, I was only trying to understand her. (I would have cancelled the order, were it not for my previous experiences having great difficult getting refunded from Uber Eats.) She continues to yell, "I will tell you how this order works. I do not care what Uber Eats says."

Anyways, the conclusion, which I only gave in because I wanted this to be over with- not because in any way I condone arguing and screaming at your customers, not honoring what your company has on a third party website, or employees giving conflicting information- was her shorting me a side. And at the prices here ($30+ for one dish including two sides), that is a...

I was really excited to try this place as we were in the mood for something different and their IG dishes looked so good. I would describe my husband and I are pretty adventurous when it comes to trying new foods. First impression of the place was that it’s pretty clean and well-kept, however for San Antonio standards, extremely rude. No one to greet you welcome you or tell you where the menu is or how to order. Because there were tables all around we assumed we could seat ourselves and we would be waited on. However the waitress seemed extremely annoyed and rude that we didn’t know the menu was on the wall and again no real greeting was ever offered. My husband and I both agreed that the waitress came off as rude. Still, I dismissed her rudeness and thought maybe that’s part of the Jamaican culture. My husband tried the grilled chicken and I tried the chicken curry. If you rather play it safe I would go with the grilled chicken, it is however pretty spicy and peppery. The curry I thought was delicious, but REALLY salty (coming from a person that likes salt). The steamed veggies were also good but also salty. In fact everything was really salty now that I think of it. The one thing that really turned me off from this curry dish is that all the chicken still had the skin and bones on it, So you can’t eat it without getting your hands dirty. A little like fried chicken except the gooey/slimy skin is pretty gross for me if it’s not fried. I would love to return to try some of their other dishes because they looked good but if everything is this salty idk. it doesn’t seem like a very friendly place so for this reason I may just pass on giving it another try. I would recommend pick up ONLY as they are not...

First I’m say I was very excited to see this restaurant yesterday because I couldn’t find a authentic Jamaican restaurant since moving to San Antonio 7 months ago. I come from south Florida aka Fort Lauderdale where everywhere you turn there is Jamaican restaurant to name a few Dutch pot,Donnas, carls seafood , golden crust .And also my family is Jamaican so I know the taste, so me coming from Fort Lauderdale and haven’t seeing and great places to get Jamaican food so you see how excited I was that I saw this restaurant. Now I bought festival which was really good and patty’s was really good too, my daughter want to go bk to get more. But I went for the oxtail, the oxtail was not good at all, the color didn’t look like authentic Jamaican oxtails there was no browning color didn’t taste any type of ketchup it was so salty no flavor but salt, and it didn’t taste like it was brown in a Dutch pot it taste like it was stewed or in a crockpot or something it was definitely not in a Dutch pot and they add potatoes and carrots like they make stew oxtail I gave it a 0 . I also got the fried chicken with rice and peas and oxtail gravy again the color of the oxtail was not good the sauce made the rice supper salty the chicken wasn’t bad but the plantain it was in so much oil that it was gooey plantain suppose to be fried lightly then place on a paper towel to get some of the oil of they definitely didn’t do that. I would not be going back I just make my own food, very upset. FYI when you go in the store you can smell the smoking of jerk pork which made me say this food finna be good it smelled so good I couldn’t wait but...
