This trailhead is part of the Leon Creek Greenway. Ingram Transit Center Trailhead is directly behind the VIA Bus Transit Center @3215 Northwestern Drive San Antonio, Texas 78238. The entire trailway is paved in either concrete or asphalt and is a great trail for beginners. Paths are clearly marked but, if your not familiar with the trail system perhaps come in a group, companion or use a mapping system. The surfaces stay very warm even in the evening during the summer. Please keep this in mind when bringing a pet on these extended walks. Please remember to bring enough water for yourself and your pet. The Leon Creek Greenway Trail is great for walkers, runners and bicyclists. There is definitely evidence of homeless encampments; however, it appears that they try to keep them cleared out. As a larger man, I felt safe.
