This trailhead is part of the Leon Creek Greenway. Ingram Transit Center Trailhead is directly behind the VIA Bus Transit Center @3215 Northwestern Drive San Antonio, Texas 78238. The entire trailway is paved in either concrete or asphalt and is a great trail for beginners. Paths are clearly marked but, if your not familiar with the trail system perhaps come in a group, companion or use a mapping system. The surfaces stay very warm even in the evening during the summer. Please keep this in mind when bringing a pet on these extended walks. Please remember to bring enough water for yourself and your pet. You will encounter wildlife of various kinds especially towards evening and the further into trail you go. There are dirt trails to invistigate off the paved surface.

Beautiful and well-maintained trail. If you go early in the morning, it's mostly shaded by the trees shadows. Plenty of "off-road" bike trails with indicated difficulty levels. Dogs are allowed. Connects to a lot of other trailheads and Cathedral Rock Park. Everything is clearly marked but if you somehow get lost, your GPS can guide you back to the trailhead.

I went for a walk. The mosquitos got me real good. The place seems like a safe area. Many people walk and bike here. Parkinglot has guards.

This is one of the few trailheads that has sufficient parking. There is a shady rest spot and restroom facilities next door at the Via transit station. The Leon Creek Greenway Trail is great for walkers, runners and bicyclists. It is a short 2 miles south to the SW Military trailhead, or head north for the Cathedral Rock, Grissom, Mainland, OP Schnabel, Babcock, Fox Park (Hausman), and Valero (1604) trailheads. The trail now connects to the Salado Creek trail up at...

Great trail. Paved, and several side shoots that you can go down as well as traditional hiking trails as well. There is definitely evidence of homeless encampments; however, it appears that they try to keep them cleared out. As a larger man, I felt safe. That said, I didn’t see a single female and I frankly wouldn’t recommend females going on this section of trail by themselves. I did see a BUNCH of deer though....
