Yesterday, my husband and I visited Rooms To Go on Loop 410 and Blanco. It has been many years since I last visited any of their show rooms, but my husband and decided, after almost 15 yrs with the same couch and chairs (still in good condition), it was time for something new.
We were met with an amazing man, Mr. Smiley. He greeted us, we explained what we were just looking for and just wanted to browse. He kindly told us about the sales, how to read the cards with the information and if we had any questions, to just ask.
We both like to browse, knew what we were looking for and certainly didn't want any hard salesmen, following us. When my husband found a chair he liked, he noticed and came up to us, asked questions about color and style we might be interested in.
He was very polite, friendly(loved his smile and outgoing personality) and my husband told him what he was looking for. Mr. Smiley answered all his questions, showed us the different colors for the chair, and even brought out swatches so that we could see the colors which helped so we could compare what would fit in the color decor of the living area.
He gave us the information for the chair and even told us the estimated delivery date which, considering the upcoming holidays, was very helpful. My husband decided to look around some more and found a chair he absolutely loved. Mr. Smiley let him know it was a floor model and the price had been reduced. And it was the only one available.(Beautiful dark Leather, antique retro look!) of course my husband wanted it.
On to the Sofa. I knew what I wanted and I found the specific one I was looking for and he once again, gave me all the information on it, and, again brought out the swatches, even gave me pointers with the color that would not only match the Leather Chair my husband chose but also showed me the accent pillows (they do have a variety of patterns and color) and used his tablet to show how well the pattern would look matched with both the sofa and chair.
I love accent pillows and his pick of colors for both the sofa and chair was spot on! And the color would tie in the color of the sofa, another chair as well as the leather chair.(which he pointed out would be an accent piece, tying in the colors of a matching chair for the sofa).
Now that is service!! Mr. Smiley went out of his way to make us feel at ease and answered all our questions.
I expected delay in getting my new furniture which he was honest about due to the upcoming holidays and, of course, Black Friday was around the corner and the rush would be on. No big deal. I can wait.
Mr. Smiley was very helpful, not pushy as some salesmen tend to be. Gave me great color decor pointers. (Put my picky husband at ease) I am looking forward to putting everything into place(as per his suggestion).
Mr. Smiley, you made furniture shopping a great experience and I hope to see you again (I do need a new dinning table). GOD Bless you...
Read moreLet me start by saying the furniture looks great and the sales staff were very nice while we were in the show room. Every piece of furniture we loved was unavailable for the unforeseeable future, so we settled on almost everything we ended up purchasing (a bit more than $12k worth of furniture). The things we did end up getting were still weeks or a month plus lead time, but R2G had so many recommendations, we thought we would just deal with it and wait. The first delivery we received is the only on we haven't had major issues with. The delivery staff is wonderful; the product on the other hand, not so much. Our second delivery was our biggest. It included our dining room table and chairs, a recling couch,, a reclining love seat, an entertainment center, and an entire king bedroom set- bed frame, head and foot board, dresser, two night stands, and two lamps. Our bed frame, head board and foot board came without any of the hardware needed to assemble it, our dining room tables base broken, and the entertainment center not properly assembled. The delivery staff told us to call our salesperson and ask for the hardware to be sent and once it arrived, they would send someone to assemble the bed, and also to order a new base for our table to do an exchange. The hardware arrived within two days and when I called to schedule someone to come put, they told me it would be another 3 weeks before someone could make it. They also informed me it would be around the same time frame for the table base. Our third and final delivery date came, this time a children storage table and 4 chairs and the delivery showed up on time, ready to go.... besides the fact that the table was completely broken. Now we have 4 chairs and no table to go with it. We were told to wait for someone to call and talk about next steps. Our dealings with Rooms to Go have just gone downhill further with every interaction. I would not recommend anyone I know to do business with them ever if they value their time and money. Our table is being held stable with cardboard from our move and our bed is in pieces...

My experience with purchasing a mattress from Rooms to go has been nothing short of disappointing. I bought a mattress in October 2021, hoping for a good night's sleep. However, we encountered issues with the mattress 5 or 6 times over the past year and a half.
Each time we discovered a problem with the mattress, we went through the tedious process of exchanging it, only to find that the replacement mattresses had their own set of issues. What's even more frustrating is that we were charged a delivery fee each time we exchanged the mattress, adding insult to injury. To make matters worse, there was a hidden deduction of $99 from the refund for returning the mattress, which felt like a deceptive practice by the company.
Overall, the experience has been extremely inconvenient and costly. I would caution anyone considering purchasing a mattress from Rooms to go to think twice and explore other options. The lack of quality control and the additional fees make this purchase not worth the hassle.
Update (11/09/2024):
I spent $2,500 on a new mattress back in January 2024, hoping this would finally resolve the issues I had with previous mattresses from Rooms To Go. Unfortunately, it didn’t. Shortly after using the new mattress, I started experiencing back pain, which I initially thought was normal and would go away. However, after sleeping on the floor for a few days, my back pain disappeared, confirming that the mattress was the problem.
My wife, toddler, and I are now sleeping on the floor because we can’t use the mattress without experiencing discomfort. This has been a terrible experience, especially given the amount of money and time we've invested.
Rooms To Go recently approved another reselect, but after going through this process multiple times, I am only interested in a refund at this point. I no longer wish to continue dealing with Rooms To Go...
