My god, it was glorious. I walked in in a ratty tank top and elastic gym shorts because nothing else fit right, and I strutted out in an outfit fresher than wet paint. I'd never been able to buy an outfit before, like an actual outfit, not just the random things that happened to sorta fit me. I'm not an easy fit by any means, either too tall or too big in the shoulders for just about anything.
Everyone working there was plus size, and I could tell they knew how unpleasant clothes shopping could be. Nothing makes me angrier than some scrawny little 90 pound nothing-man working in a big and tall shop. But the ladies at DXL were so helpful and welcoming, helping me find exactly the style I wanted in whatever color I wanted, taking my measurements and pointing out which brands ran small, which ones would have a wide enough neck for me. They all carried tablets on which they looked up whether they had a certain size in a certain color in storage.
I wish I could go back there but I was only in the country briefly before having to head back to the Middle East. Janelle, if you read this review, thanks for making that the best clothes shopping experience of my entire life. Literally the best in my whole life, nothing else...
Read moreWow! Loved shopping here. It was a one stop shop. Headed out Saturday morn to search for a dress suit, shirt, tie, belt and shoes for my dear oversized husband. Went to 2 other stores and found nothing. Happened to find DXL and out of curiosity, went in. Store was organized, quality of clothing seemed above and beyond, prices were manageable and staff was super friendly and helpful . Terry Harmon quickly suited my guy up with a very handsome ensemble, nose to toe and we were on our way within 40 minutes. No more driving, stopping, in and out of the car, only to be disappointed. Ever so easy. We would certainly give this store an A+ and more and would recommend shopping here. I know this will be our goto in the future. Happy...
Read moreI went in with my girlfriend to buy some clothes, didn't get greeted when I walked in. Ok they were busy. As I'm looking around no one asked if I needed help. Again maybe they are busy. Then two guys walk in and get greeted and asked question red carpet rolled out for them. A guy next to me is looking and gets asked all sorts of question I look over at my girlfriend comment " what am I invisible " go to try on clothes and we have to go look for someone to open the door, again no asking of any question or if I need help. Guy disappeared and have to go look around for someone to open the fitting room door. Then on check out I get asked did anyone help you and I reply nope, again no questions asked to get told my total...
