Oh Yeah Cakes — Restaurant in San Antonio

Poor Customer Service, I called this place 15 minutes hey closed no one answers, I emailed no one responded, I texted no one respond either. My parents love their cake, and I decided to give a call again, then the person over the phone with a sarcastic tone of the voice, said oh I see your text then the female person said unfortunately we are booked, and this after all my attempts to order the cake, and explained my parents love your cake and they want to celebrate their 50th anniversary and SHE shut me down like that! Shame on you and your professionalism.

My advice gets better customer service skills from someone else and be nice over the phone. You're ruined my parents wish for not taking care on time orders over the phone, email, text message...

We support the local business BUT come on LADY! it is totally unprofessional not taking care customers, this is not the first time I ordered from Oh Yeah cakes... yes oh yeah managers take note on that!!! Just 1 star... advice if customer service is hard for you, find another job that suited better.

Update to review - I will never go anywhere else for custom cakes. They absolutely killed my birthday cake 👏 ! It was beautiful and delicious ! I went with a Harry Potter theme this year for my 30th and my god I didn’t even want to eat the cake it was so well done. I highly contemplated buying an ugly cake for everyone else to eat so I could save mine. ( Harry Potter cake photo added to review ! )

I’m giving 5 stars because they did create the cake I wanted and it was ready when I needed it. The cake was delicious to eat and not just pretty ( we did confetti ) , and everyone loved it.

My only critiques would be that I had hoped the flowers would look like the example picture provided - so three big cherry blossom flowers instead of the smaller ones - and that the Japanese lettering on the front were a little more bold and 3D like.

Other than that they were super responsive via email. The cake was reasonably priced! I’ve also ordered a birthday cake for myself so I will be updating this once it’s received on Friday 6/27/25.

I had also picked up some cupcakes SAT 6/21. Those were super yummy ! So if you don’t get a cake then I’d at least recommend...

I've been here a couple of times but think I only tried one thing the first time... This last time I went big and got six cupcakes. Mexican chocolate, Irish Cream (in season with March), Lemon raspberry, red velvet, and pistachio. They were all excellent but the lemon raspberry and pistachio were oh my God ~ the filling for the lemon raspberry kept the cake moist and had fresh flavor while the pistachio was to die for (I can't fully describe why it's just that good.) I would have taken pics first but the presentation was too enticing not to take a bite right away. The only thing I would say about the others is that they were good but by comparison of my two obvious favorites I know which ones I'll always get first. The Irish Cream was solid - I will only mention that I'm used to different recipes which call for the cream to be filled in the cupcake as well: it makes a huge difference (in my opinion) to differentiate the flavor of an Irish cream cupcake to just a regular chocolate one if you're able to get more...
