The worst and dirtiest TJ Maxx I’ve ever visited. I was trying to shop in the jewelry department and the young girl who was helping me was very rude with terrible customer service skills! Initially, she asked if I needed help as soon as I approached the counter; I thanked her and told her that I had not had the chance to look at anything yet and will likely ask to see items once I look at the items. Finally, I asked her to show me a few items and she only showed me one ring before leaving me without saying a word to me! I told her the second item was in the opposite jewelry cabinet; she agreed to show it to me and followed me to the other glass jewelry cabinet. Then, she suddenly asked another customer if she was ready to buy and as soon as the customer said yes, she left me to help the other customer without saying a word to me or excusing herself. I thought she was going to tell the other costumer that she will assist her after she finishes helping me or ask me if it’s okay to help the other woman first. Either way, she was helping me already and she shouldn’t have left me to help another customer. She could have asked another employee to help the other customer. Instead, she rushed off to help another customer when she was supposed to be assisting me and left me without even looking at me or excusing herself!
Also, this store is always messy and unorganized compared to other TJ Maxx Homegoods stores in the Bay Area! I took a break to use the women’s restroom. I think it was about 4:30 pm on Saturday of August 6, 2022! An Asian lady was sweeping the bathroom floors. Terrible that customers had toilet paper all over all over the floors next to all three toilet areas! Maybe, if they had a waste basket next to each toilet, then women can dispose their garbage in the waste basket rather than on the floor. There were mountains of dirty toilet paper next to each toilet as if nobody cleaned the bathroom all day or for days! The employee was nice enough to say that I could use one of the restrooms. I asked if I could have toilet seat covers since none of the restrooms had any and she said she was sorry that she could not bring any toilet seat covers since she was now off work and needs to go home! She had not even finished sweeping all the toilet paper from the bathroom floors! So, all she did was sweep the floor a little and didn’t clean the mess or replenish necessary supplies! It was so dirty and disgusting that I washed my hands and left the store immediately to find a restroom! Other TJ stores always have clean restrooms but this store always consistently has dirty restrooms and too much stuff blocking the aisles; it’s never an organized store! It appears that they need an employee to routinely clean the bathrooms throughout the day and make sure toilet supplies are replenished! Also, each bathroom needs a waste basket next to each toilet so that customers can throw away the toilet seat covers and used feminine products. I was so disgusted about the dirty store and terrible customer service from the two employees on August 6, 2022 at this location that I don’t think I’ll ever return to this store. Also, this store is supposed to have nice 14 k gold and diamond jewelry according to other TJ Maxx managers but I usually never see any fine jewelry and have only bought jewelry twice at this location. The other TJMaxx Homegoods stores are far better in every way compared to this store! I should have taken a photo of the bathroom and the messy...
Read moreThe worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at this tjmaxx & homegoods. We bought a lot of delicates, when the cashier saw what we have in the cart, she didn’t even bother asking if we would like bags or wrapped up our items. The only thing she remembered was to ask us for a donation. After the transaction is finished. She expected us to put all our items back into our cart, so we had to ask her to wrap up a few of our items. One of the plate set was wrapped so loosely that it broke by the time we got to our car. We went to the first representative we saw, Wanda, who happens to be the manager, and ask us to go back in line. We waited in line, when we finally got to the cashier, she needed an approval for the returned. Surprisingly Wanda had to approve the return…I didn’t understand why Wanda won’t help us in the first place after knowing that we were in a rush, and she took her sweet time to get to the cashier. Wanda looked at the broken item, accuse us of dropping the plates, while it was obvious that the package was poorly packaged and cause the plates to break. The warping wasn’t ripped, just loosely put together. She then chose to lectured us and talk down at us, we chose to walk away instead of her lecturing us. I felt like I was haggling at a flea market rather than visiting a reputable store. We did get our money back, but this was the worse customer service we’ve ever experienced at homegoods. Not only is their cashier not welled train, they push the fault to the...
Read moreOne of the worst retail experiences in recent memory. Went into the store yesterday to buy some things with my girlfriend. I did retail for alot of years so I excused the piles of go backs on the floor and the general messiness of the store. It was the high percentage of rude associates I couldn't take. Long story short, when I got home last night I found that they left a security tag on one of my items. So my girlfriend took the item back in the morning to have it removed. She walked in and set off the alarm. She asked where she needed to go to get it removed and showed her her receipt. The associate said "not my problem" and told her to stand by customer service. Five minutes later she walked over to the lone person at the checkout area, No one was in line but she insisted that she wouldn't talk to her until she walked all the way through the line. Management was unhelpful about this at best. I will not be back to this store. I will not be harassed for the privilege of buying past season goods for more than the department stores cleared them out for in the past season. Sorry for the long...
