Sudden recent turnover of most of the long-term employees and replacement with many new employees has been baffling and disappointing. We went on vacation and came back, and some of our favorite people are gone, and we didn't get to say goodbye and wish them well. New employees are so busy learning that the friendliness has been replaced with a hectic, impersonal atmosphere. Some of the new people seem more interested in shooting the breeze with each other than in getting to know the customers. There've been mistakes in filling orders (instead of my request for "light ice," which was accurately marked on the cup, I received a cup filled with ice and almost no tea; the barista took several minutes to correct it). Over time things will calm down, accuracy will improve, and hopefully the friendliness will return. Meanwhile, the baristas need to review their training and Starbucks policies in their beverage resource manual. Today I was lectured by a manager that I cannot get a refill of brewed tea, when the first drink I ordered was a smoothie ($7.95). She stated, "I'll do this for you just this once, but you should know it is not going to happen again." The Starbucks website states: "My Starbucks Rewards™ members at Green and Gold levels are eligible for free refills on brewed or iced coffee or tea beverages of the same size... regardless of the original beverage purchased"; it's weird that a barista would be so misinformed, particularly when she's the manager. This was not an enjoyable experience, and doesn't speak favorably for how well employees are respecting Starbucks policy and customer service at...
Read moreI went in at around 12:30 for a pink drink and an iced coffee. There didn’t seem to be many customers waiting for there drinks to be made and I saw about 3-4 employees behind the counter. One in particular who seemed to be working hard on getting the drinks done named Joey. I ended up getting only the iced coffee and I waited for my pink drink to be ready. More and more customers came in and they had their drinks already in there hand and out the door in less than five minutes. I still waited and noticed there were a bunch of drinks to be made but mine was somehow not even started. Joey asked another employee for help in the pretty nice tone and the other employee replied quite rudly “I’m ON cash” but nobody was in lime to place an order. Joey just brushes it off and continued to do his job. He noticed I was standing there for a while and very apologetically asked if I was waiting for a drink. I repeated my drink back at him meanwhile and was about to start it when another employee, Nicole, told him she was already making it. She sounded like she didn’t want to be there or was having a bad day and I’m assuming this was the same employee from earlier because of the same attitude given. I’m all for employees being respectful towards customers BUT I’m not okay when they’re disrespectful towards their coworkers. Whether you like it or not the job is paying you to be there, if you don’t like it don’t be disrespectful and find something else that...
Read moreI've been going to this Starbucks just about every weekday for 5 years. It has been going downhill fast. The old staff was great, unfortunately none of them work at this location any longer. The new staff is terrible.
There could be barely anyone in the place and it will still take ten minutes to make two cold brew coffee's! How is this even possible? You pour the coffee in the cup end of story. This is an everyday experience with them.
Drink Quality - Generally terrible, unless you get the one good barista they have. I've been in line and got out of line after seeing who was making drinks, its not worth having them make you something.
Quickness - Absolutely terrible, people come to Starbucks for consistency and quick turn around. I have waited 15 minutes for a drink to be made. Thankfully for me I mainly drink plain black coffee.
Cleanliness - Its clean can't complain about that i don't know about the restrooms though.
Staff - Unenthusiastic most of the time and no sense of urgency. They need to figure out how to prioritize important tasks.
Thankfully there is a local coffee place around the corner that sells just plain coffee, that's my new spot.
I'll edit the review if they get better but I...
