Falafel Tazah is a chain with multiple locations throughout the peninsula (San Carlos, Redwood City, and Foster City). The San Carlos location is like the other locations, small with limited indoor seating, and a little bit of outdoor seating. But the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Perfect for take out, and also a good catering option as we have used them several times already. Large free parking lot, but it is always busy and the traffic pattern can get a bit crazy, so be careful parking or driving as a lot of pedestrians don’t pay enough attention.

I ordered a falafel wrap to go. They ask if you want it spicy, I said yes and it was indeed a good kick of heat. Why only 3 stars? For the price ($13), I feel like you don’t get much. The food was good but the wrap did not have much to it. It felt like half of my bites were just bread and sauce and the other half had the falafel and flavor. Service was quick but not super friendly. It was my first time and they didn’t ask if I had any questions or offer any suggestions.

Please be aware of this place as this place has no regards for children's allergies!!! It happened to us multiple times. They put ingredients that your children might be allergic to. Despite repeating this multiple times verbally, they will keep doing this. It appears that it's intentional. Please be careful with getting food from here for your children. I am in the process of reporting them to CDPH.

I had the pleasure of dining at Falafel Tazah just now and I have to thank God for bringing me in here with the wind today.

I was greeted by Gerson, who provided customer service and prepared the lamb/beef plate I just had the pleasure of feasting on.

The flavors were impactful and life-changing, in a great way. I enjoyed the hummus (8.5/10, but to be fair, I am a bit of a hummus connoisseur). The lamb and beef was a clear 9.5/10. The salad was good and the pita bread was fresh.

What stood out to me the most was the overall experience, which started with the friendly and speedy service, continued with great blasts of flavor, and ended with me having extra food for later due to the solid portion size.

I 100% recommend anyone to come here and try it out for yourself.

Well done, Falafel Tazah. Next time I come back, I'd have to try...

Lamb and beef shawarma rice plate $18 - decent. Beef and lamb was decent quality, not too saucy or salty. On a bed of vegetables. Rice was typical. Hummus was terrible. Very thin watered down consistency, strange pinkish color, barely any hummus flavor Lamb kebob stick $7 - good. Would have been even better if cooked medium rare instead of well done. Quality meat. 4 medium sized pieces served with a bit of onions, pickles, and tomato Baklava $3 - ok. 1 small piece. Very syrupy, slightly soggy texture. A bit sweet

Ordered takeout, was ready in 15 mins. Small restaurant with some indoor and outdoor tables. It's a busy plaza but the parking lot is huge so no problems parking. Overall, food was decent but not exceptional. Good portions and reasonable prices. Probably wouldn't come back though since there's...

I got food poisoning from them 2 days ago. When I called and asked for a refund, what I assume is the manager claimed they serve almost 200 customers a day and no one has ever claimed to get food poisoning. He then asked me for a doctors note and was completely dismissive of me and my issue. Food was also very mid at best for almost 24 dollars for a combo shawarma and a drink.

Furthermore, their drinks that were in the cooler were opened already. When I went to grab the yogurt drink and open it, it burst open on me.

Won't be surprised if a manager or owner there decides to attack me on here for telling everyone about how awful the place is.

Do you and your family a favor and skip this place. Not worth the pain...
