Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in San Carlos

I tried Chipotle Mexican Grill, for the first time. After suggestions for Keto fast food available. I got one of the Keto bowls, That comprised of, mixed salad, chicken, guacamole, and cheese. I thought that was maybe OK, but only as a base salad. The other thing was that some of the pieces of salad was too big. The salad pieces should be sliced somewhat in thin pieces. It was too large for me, plus I had to prepare for an elderly person. So I ended up having to doctor it up a bit. And make a real salad out of it. Fortunately I had some things left over from a salad I made from the night before. First of all, it needed some tomatoes. So what does it take to ad some tomatoes? Then I had some cucumber, that I sliced in really thin pieces with a potato peeler. Added some both green and black olives We also had a few shrimp left over, to add to the mix. Chopped green onions. With a sprinkle of ranch dressing I made out of some whole plain yogurt and apple cider vinegar, plus some Italian seasoning, cracked pepper, and lemon juice; just a bit of mayonnaise to help offset the sourness. Then drizzled some lemon juice on top. By the time I was finished, it was enough for two people out of one Chipotle salad. I can tell you it was delicious. Why can't Chipotle do this? Or maybe they do, I just don't know yet. But I think they could bring people in by the droves if they did.. A Keto delicious salad...! What...

I came to this same chipotle last year and was charged for every single things that used to be included otherwise, quantity was so little and as we sat down to eat few of employees friends showed up and oh boy you should have seen their bowls. Loaded up on everything it almost made me believe they give customers less quantity and charge them but when friends show up no charge and loaded up food is ready for them. And here we are today, we ordered kids tacos and apparently was not told that cheese I have buy extra. Despite my disappointment they had no concept of customer service. It is not about money it is about the bad customer service and entitlement of screwing customers. We all work hard we don’t have money that can be thrown Away and not get what we pay for. If you’re thinking “Oh, I actually can go to Chipotle rather than driving out of my way to Qdoba because Chipotle now has queso..” don’t do it!! Obviously a company-wide issue, but it’s honestly terrible. The consistency is like forcing a cheddar cheese block to melt in a hot pan and then adding copious amounts of flour— super grainy and tastes nothing like “normal” queso you would get anywhere else. I understand their issue with not having Velveeta-like queso because it compromises their naturally-sourced status, but take a note from the mom and pop Mexican restaurants and use the white queso that is creamy, rich, and natural!

Regarding the individual store— pretty average space and is located in the same parking lot as TJ Maxx/Marshalls and Starbucks. This is convenient sometimes, but makes close parking actually hard to find during peak...
