The pool was such an horrible experience the lifeguard yelled at the kids every five minutes for every little thing literally the only thing that you’re allowed to do is stand still and duck your head under the water there so rude the lifeguard the old one with the gray beard he’s racist he yells at all the black kids and then when you bring your own life vest they will accuse you of stealing their life vest the water is nice yeah the pool is nice but the staff are the most wonderful people I’ve...

I've been to pools to train all over the U.S. I went during their "open swim" time to be turned away saying "Sorry we decided to have an an unplanned impromptu swim meet, so you can't come in"....they gave me a "free swim pass" to come back at a later date. I decided to give it one more chance and came back after 4pm during their working hours to find it was closed with nobody interested building. A very Busy public swimming facility in Balboa park.

Is not very large, based upon demand I’d say it’s grossly undersized for the neighborhood.

Parking is a challenge, but we somehow still find a spot.

The facility appears quite old, but the pool appears modernized.

Gets very busy with lessons, Polo games and public swimmers.
