This is a huge area that merges into Seaport Village. As you get to the tip of the park that sits across from Rady Shell, it gets shabbier and dirtier with a higher concentration of locals hanging out. And sometimes actual trash or remnants of a sleepover left on the grass and the rocks.

Right next to Seaport Village the park is kept clean and is always busy even too busy. Lots of people are flying kites, kids playing, dogs walking, vendors etc. Very popular tourist spot.

It is actually disappointing how there's zero security at such a huge tourist area. Ive seen children literally playing catch in the street blocking traffic until I guess they get hit?

AT night stick next to Seaport Village it gets very dark the further you walk down, literally less and less lighting.

Overall a great place for photos and tourist friendly views in...

Took a walk here after a rather crappy lunch up at Seaport Village. A friend we had along wanted to check out the tourist shops there. This place affords expansive views of the waterfront. The view of Navy ships to the NE and those back up to the much larger Naval installation are impressive. There is also always something to see on the water. For example, a recreational boater had his engine crap out. First, came a harbor patrol police boat followed by a Tow Boat USA that took a line and dragged him back north...

This is a real pro tip for locals who want to come down here without pulling a parking ticket, just drive right on through past the pay parking and this park is back here with its always empty meter parking. Walk into Seaport village or wherever or you can sit quietly and enjoy the vibe while you wait for whatever. One of my favorite places to kill an hour within 5 minutes...

Accessibility: some handicap/accessible parking right here along with a small number of other spots. There are ramps and nice, wide sidewalks. There are also those electric scooters you can rent all over (stand and ride). Experience: it's a beautiful area to stroll around through and it's right behind Sea Port Village. Beautiful area...I will definitely come back.
