This is a huge area that merges into Seaport Village. As you get to the tip of the park that sits across from Rady Shell, it gets shabbier and dirtier with a higher concentration of locals hanging out. And sometimes actual trash or remnants of a sleepover left on the grass and the rocks.
Right next to Seaport Village the park is kept clean and is always busy even too busy. Lots of people are flying kites, kids playing, dogs walking, vendors etc. Very popular tourist spot.
It is actually disappointing how there's zero security at such a huge tourist area. Ive seen children literally playing catch in the street blocking traffic until I guess they get hit?
AT night stick next to Seaport Village it gets very dark the further you walk down, literally less and less lighting.
Overall a great place for photos and tourist friendly views in...

Walk into Seaport village or wherever or you can sit quietly and enjoy the vibe while you wait for whatever. One of my favorite places to kill an hour within 5 minutes...
