Very good little coffee & bagel place, although a bit pricey for the bagel sandwiches it was still worth it an VERY delicious. Took our little family out for the morning to the seaport location, it was a nice little walk and scenery. I always love to enjoy having coffee with a nice view. I got the blondie mocha iced coffee, i will say it was a little sweeter than i would normally like but very good nonetheless, i know next time to ask for a little less syrup in the coffee for me personally, my fiancĂŠ tried it (heâs not a coffee drinker) and he actually said it was very good compared to what i normally drink lol. We got 3 different bagel sandwiches, the BLT on the Serrano, habanero, jack cheese bagel, VERY good and perfectly spicy too, we asked for extra tomato an didnât seem like there was extra on it but still very flavorful and very hearty. We got the mc lovin on a bacon an white cheddar bagel, it was so delicious, my daughter loved the sausage as it had a maple flavor to it & the scrambled eggs in it were very fluffy and well cooked. Last bagel was the San diegan on their bagel of the month which was the cheddar hashbrown bagel, let me tell you this tasted like an entire breakfast plate in a hand held form .. SO good an my favorite out of all of them only thing that couldâve made it better was adding some spinach or arugula to the sandwich but even just by itself it was fantastic and very filling, didnât need to add any sauce or anything to it. All in all Id give a 4 star only because of the price point on the sandwiches all of them were close to $10 each sandwich an the add on prices were $2+ for anything extra, but i will definitely go back again donât get me wrong. Itâs just not an everyday thing. But extremely delicious food...
Read moreI was so excited to try Spill The Beans since I havenât been able to go there since theyâve opened. During my evening walk, I finally had a chance since they were still open and looked busy. Iâd say our drinks were pretty decent, but my experience ruined everything. We ordered our drinks and the cashier was pleasant. As we were waiting for our drinks to be made, there was a family standing back while another employee brought in their outdoor displays. Soon enough, the gal started to close the windows and the family asked if they were closing since they were standing there and she responded saying they were closed. The family was shocked as she said that and responded that theyâd been standing there. The employee responded by saying that she was actually standing in line so nobody would line up and no one was there. Not only was the family shocked by her response, we were completely stunned. This family was standing there (a little back...hello covid going on) while she was putting things away and there wasnât anything clearly noted where to stand in line. She nor any other employee tried to warn anyone that they were closing, a last call, obvious store hours, or at the very least a âclosedâ sign. To top it all off, that same girl made and called out our drinks. I grabbed the drinks right away and she didnât even acknowledge me picking them up...a thank you, thereâs napkins right there, have a good night, etc. As a business owner, customer service is and should be the most important thing (specially opening a new location during a pandemic). Honestly, I wanted to rate my experience at two stars instead of three but Iâm hoping that employee was just having an off day. Iâd much rather be leaving a...
Read moreI LOVE THIS PLACE A LATTE! Spill the Beans has some of the THEE best brews in SD. Period. I had a cold brew with oat milk and it got the job done! But you know what else this place is known for? BAGELS! Yes, and they're some of the best I've EVER had. I was starving after my walk down Seaport and Embarcadero when my mom spotted this cute little coffee shop that's built into a lighthouse! It's so cute and unique, I love it. I smelled something good so I figured I'd grab a bite. I tried the all-day BLT on a honey oat bagel and WOW it was culinary perfection. I'd never expect a coffee shop to have such fresh veggies and tasty bread. The bagel was so soft and delicious. I gobbled up my bagel sandwich and was in such a good mood afterwards. The staff were nice and were working very hard as it was the weekend and you know, tourists everywhere. However, they always remained professional and efficient!
If you're not in the mood for coffee I'd at least try the bagels here! Spill the Beans has flavors of the month that are rotated constantly and they are certainly delectable. The shop sells merch of their mascot Pot Head (no we're NOT talking drugs lol) such as hats and shirts if you're interested. There's moderate seating behind the lighthouse, but if you don't find anything it's fine, you're in Seaport Village and there's plenty of places to sit elsewhere. This location has such a good vibe to it, plus it's June and they're playing Kim Petras. Honestly, I'd give them ten stars if I could. they have perfect food and...
