When we moved to our new home in Ramona five years ago, the property had a nice gazebo in the backyard, perfect for a new hot tub. Our previous home and Tierrasanta had a Jacuzzi brand, hot tub, that was older technology, and frankly had a lot of problems. For the new home we looked at hot tubs at Costco and from other manufacturer's. Price of course was important but more important was quality and features. Our old hot tub used traditional chlorine for the water. For the new hot tub, we wanted to have a salt system. In our research we visited the Hot Springs store on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego. We were greeted by Sam who did an excellent job of answering our questions. As a sales person, his style was very much like my own, and not being pushy to close the sale rather just trying to offer why the Hot Springs product was superior. In that first visit we spent probably an hour or more going over all the features and answering questions that we had. We left a lot more educated and visited a couple of other stores to collect more information. After reviewing the information, and features of the Hot Springs product and doing some additional Internet research, we decided to proceed with the Hot Springs Pulse model. We set up an appointment with Sam and told him we were interesting in purchasing the spa from them, we talked a little bit about price and was able to save a few dollars over the list price, again very professional negotiation, with the understanding you get what you pay for. The spa we ordered was in stock and delivery was scheduled for a few days later, the team that delivered the Spa did a great job of getting it unloaded and placed perfectly in the gazebo. Over the past five years the Spa has had no problems and we continue to stop by the Claremont Mesa store when we need salt, water conditioner, and the replaceable cartridges for the salt system. We would highly recommend the Hot Springs products and their store on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.

I am not one to do reviews regularly but I felt this one was worthy of the time. My wife and I decided to look into a spa purchase. There are two very good dealers in San Diego that carry two different high end brands. We looked at both, but ultimately decided to go with San Diego Hot Spring Spa. Hughsten was one of the reasons we went with them as he was outstanding. He is great to work with and very knowledgeable on the available versions and options. We came in early one morning for a wet test which helped a lot in deciding to get one. We chose the Grandee NXT and it is great. Hughsten was able to get delivery for us based on a tight time frame and went out of his way every step of the process. It felt more like you were buying from a friend than a dealer. He even came out on a Sunday morning the weekend of the delivery to help with any last minute questions and make sure we were set. I very highly recommend San Diego Hot Spring Spas and Hughsten if you are looking for the best spa, purchase experience and ongoing support.

Purchased my Aria NXT spa from Hughsten at the San Diego store on August 12, 2017. Very pleasant buying experience and he was very knowledgeable about all the Hot Springs spa models. He spent a lot of time with me and my wife showing all the features of any model we were interested in. There was never any pressure or pushiness to purchase a spa or any up selling. The spa arrived to their warehouse about 3 weeks later as promised and was delivered on a day and time that I chose. The delivery crew was great and hauled off my old spa in record time. On September 26, 2017 I had Scott come out for my orientation on my new Aria NXT spa and he helped me out with all my questions. He was able to resolve my issue with the lights timer function so now everything is perfect! Scott also gave me details about which chemicals to use to maintain my water quality. Would definitely recommend buying a Hot Spring spa for their quality and features from the San Diego Hot Springs Spas store!

Sales associate was nice and knowledgeable however after the order/payment was made, things became extremely disorganized. Communication r/t delivery was vague and frustrating. We had to plan for electrical (which is significantly more expensive than your sales person will estimate), a fence removed and reinstalled the day of delivery (because we have dogs), and other workers that were waiting to complete work on the side of our house that needed done after spa was delivered. I had to keep calling and following up to get information on delivery date/time. THEN came the in person care tutorial… scheduled it after delivery. My husband stayed home from work so we could both be present for the tutorial. No one showed. We waited for the full 2 hour window. I then called and the manager apologized and stated there had been employee turnover that caused the confusion. We rescheduled but i stressed we needed the appointment to be at 9 am so that my husband and i could get to work/appointments we had at 11 oclock this day. The manager said they would be there by 9 and he was personally writing an approval for this employee to come In early that morning in order to be to our home by 9. Fast forward to our appointment day and nobody arrives at 9. I call the store and they are not open yet so I leave a message. Finally hear from the employee driving to my house saying he would be arriving by 10. This employee was as nice as can be but had not been told about any of the promises the manager had given me. Terrible follow through and...

I would like to write this review to give accolades to the excellent service we received from this company. In early August 2020, my wife and I met with Brian Roble to purchase our first hot tub. My parents always had hot tubs when I grew up, but this would be my first purchase. Brian, was more than patient with us reviewing the latest features, discussing our budget, and really providing value added service on what our wants and needs were. I even jumped in with my trunks to 'test drive' a few models. We finally settled on a nice Hot Springs model and were very excited. Due to Covid, lead times from all manufacturers were out 8-16 weeks. Ours was thus scheduled for a late October delivery. On 8/26/20, I received the unfortunate news that my position at my employer was terminated due to Covid cutbacks. I thought, great now how will I pay the balance of this tub with no current income?! I called Brian the same day. Brian and the owners were truly more than understanding. They offered an unbelievable refund. I thought my significant downpayment would be in jeopardy. Thank you. Once things are squared away again, we will be back up to buy another new tub. Not many company's would be so understanding. The pre-purchase attention to detail by Brian in finding us the right spa, as well as this generous customer service gesture puts them at the top...
