I cannot say enough great things about Terra Bella Nursery and my incredible associate, Sebastian! I originally hired a private designer for my tropical landscape in La Mesa, but Sebastian has truly transformed the process into something even more special. Not only does he share the same name as my brother, but he already feels like family.

From the very start, Sebastian has been extremely patient, detail-oriented, and truly listened to my vision. My project includes both shaded and full-sun areas, and he has meticulously helped me select the perfect plants for each space. His knowledge and dedication have been a lifesaver, especially when I started panicking after we flagged the yard. He spent an hour on the phone with me, calmly walking me through everything, helping me make smart adjustments, and even finding ways to save money while staying within my budget.

Before coming to Terra Bella, I had another nursery come out for a consultation, and their quote was nearly triple the cost. The associate was nice and claimed to specialize in tropical design, but I just didn’t feel the same connection and trust that I immediately felt with Sebastian. With such a big project, I needed someone who truly understood my vision and was invested in making it a reality, and Sebastian has been that person every step of the way.

I had no idea how quickly plant costs add up, but thanks to Sebastian’s guidance, I feel confident in my decisions. Terra Bella even offers professional planting services, which is an amazing bonus! Throughout the process, Sebastian has never made me feel rushed—he remembers all the little details, like ensuring my hot tub area gets enough sun while still maintaining a lush, tropical vibe.

This place is massive! My wife had a great idea to come here. Glad we did! We’ve been redoing our yard so visiting nurseries has been quite the almost daily activity lately to get good deals and find some not so common plants. Terra Bella has such a wide variety of plants in all sizes, some I can say are a little overpriced compared to other nurseries but was able to find some great gems reasonably priced though. The grounds are clean and it's such a nice walk around the entire location. I still want to go back because we arrived kinda later in the day close to closing time so we didnt have a chance to see everything they had The staff was friendly and helpful, even though they were closing their shack and we were the last ones they were super kind and helped us with a smile on their face! Amazing nursery with affordable prices and a great selection! This is my new favorite nursery! Such a great selection of plants, succulents, cactus, and more. I especially loved the pots. Very pretty colors and fun styles. There are also a couple of playful cats that I assume live on the property that are pretty entertaining. Look at the tree in the photo I uploaded. Terra Bella Nursery told us they were selling us and delivering a 15 foot tall magnolia tree that had a very large canopy in a 36" box. What they delivered was a 36" box, but the tree wasn't even 9' tall, and the canopy was barely over 3 feet wide. If you look closely at the trunk of the tree it was about 1 1/2" in diameter. This was totally absurd. The drive was told it was too small by the landscapers and he still dropped off the tree. I arrived 2 minutes later when their truck was already pulled away. I immediately rejected the tree, but Terra Bella staff refused to come back to get their lousy small tree. This was fraud plain and simple. We had to argue with them to take the tree back, and we even had to load it on a truck and bring back on our own. The containers are about 500 to 600 lbs when full of first so this was no easy feat. The manager and the sales staff at Terra Bella Nursery were horrible. No one should ever have to argue with a company to immediately return something you never ordered in the first place.
