I had never been to Terri's previously, and my first visit was with a friend of mine on Saturday, April 10th. I had come in asking for a full set, and Jessi insisted that I take off my previous acrylic and she would apply dip to my nails instead. I happily agreed. I had asked for black french tips, but they were very poorly done. The day after I had gotten them done, they started to chip. When I went back on Tuesday, April 13th, to have them repaired, Jessi said she had used the wrong top coat the first time. She then applied a gel top coat and I asked her if the gel would stay on better than the first. She told me "I don't know, it might come off again. If it does come off, come back for me to fix it." When I get my nails done, I should not have to come back numerous times to have them fixed. After she had finished repairing them, they looked worse than before. The lines on french tips were very uneven and messy, and there was noticeably more black on some fingers than others. When I called the following day (April 14th), Terri, the owner, was extremely rude to me. I was polite and even explained I did not wish to get anyone in trouble, but I would like my money back. Terri rudely (and rather aggressively) told me "You listen, I don't do refunds, I'm trying to run my business!" She then continued to dismiss me and refused to refund any of my money following a very poor quality manicure and an even worse "fix." If she would have been kind and agreed to fairly refund even part of the money I paid, I would have happily come back! As a business owner myself, I was shocked and very disappointed that Terri would speak to me or any other clients this way. I would never recommend this place to anyone, the customer service is the worst I've ever...
Read moreI have been a customer at Terri’s nail salon off and on for 10 years. The establishment has gone through two remodels and with it, their prices have gone up. Unfortunately, the quality of service you receive is solely dependent on the technician you get. I recently started getting hard gel nails with a gel polish. A full set was $70 and the follow up fill was $65. My first technician was Nga Bui. She was pleasant and offered me a drink. My second technician was Sarah Tran. She was more friendly and provided me with a water bottle. My last experience was with Cella Truong who during the entire time I was getting a “fill” kept trying to add on chrome finish. I also asked for a mauve color and she said it was summer (even though the fall mauve color I picked was for my trip to Scotland the next day). She didn’t know that but I told her I prefer muted nails. Not too flashy. I then told I would consider a French manicure but she told me my nails are too short. They are not but she probably didn’t want to spend the extra time. She kept insisting on the chrome and after I refused that finish 5X she then added it to one nail so I could see how it looked. Meanwhile, while she is working on my nails, the amount of talking, laughing and sometimes arguing (a customer was loudly complaining about the service she was getting) amongst the technicians is non-stop. There was absolutely no customer connection. The only connection is to ask what you want, pick a color and try to upsell. Good luck finding a technician you like. The only positive thing- I do like the way my nails have turned out. But I might have to go elsewhere if I continue to feel so uncomfortable. Oh, and at the end Cella told me it wasn’t a fill, it was a full set and...
Read moreWent in today for a 11:30a appointment for two. Hers was for a manicure, dip powder, and pedicure. I’m not sure who did her nails, but she had a pleasant experience and loved her nails. I on the other hand didn’t have a pleasant visit. Went in for a manicure, gel nail removal and dip powder. I was placed with a nail technician named May and she began by using the electric buffer then proceeded with the dip powder. While buffing my nails, she was going against my skin causing skin to come off and skin burns. I mentioned my skin was burning and even flinched when she was going too hard but I’m not sure if she got the hint. While filing my nails she also was going hard against my skin and even caused it to bleed. I think it’s also worth to mention that she began to buff my skin with the square buffer, all around my fingers, not only the nail in order to remove the dip powder; I’ve never had any nail technician do this, they usually ask me to wash my hands or they use a towel to remove the excess powder. When she was finished with my nails she proceeded to cut the excess cuticle skin that she had ripped when using the electric file, she didn’t even bother soaking it before attempting to cut off the cuticle. Not to mention that I’m sure the manicure goes before the application of the dip powder to prep the nail. Somewhere in the process her glove ripped and she continued doing my nails with a ripped glove and touching my open skin. It was just a terrible experience overall. We both paid and tipped but this was not an experience I recommend, especially since I had burning skin and open wounds after the...
