🌟🌟🌟🌟"An Absolute Gem in San Diego - Fanuel Street Park!"I recently visited Fanuel Street Park in San Diego, and let me tell you, it was an experience that went beyond my expectations! Nestled at 4000 Fanuel St, right near the bay and Pacific Beach, this park is a hidden treasure in the bustling city.First off, the location is perfect. Being near the bay, the park offers stunning views that are a treat for both the eyes and soul. It's like having a slice of serene nature right in the middle of San Diego. Whether you're looking to enjoy a peaceful afternoon or a scenic jog, this is the place to be.The park itself is beautifully maintained. The grass is lush and green, perfect for a family picnic or just lounging with a book. There's a playground that is always a hit with the kids, and it's great to see them play in such a clean and safe environment. What really stood out for me was the ambiance. It's tranquil yet vibrant - a combination that's hard to find. You have people jogging, families enjoying quality time, and others just taking in the beauty of the bay. It's a wonderful mix of activities and relaxation. And let's not forget the proximity to Pacific Beach. After a relaxing time at the park, you can take a short stroll and find yourself at one of the most beautiful beaches in San Diego. The convenience of having both a peaceful park and a lively beach so close to each other is simply unbeatable. In conclusion, Fanuel Street Park is a must-visit spot in San Diego. Whether you're a local or just passing through, the beauty and tranquility of this park are sure to leave a lasting impression. It's a perfect example of the natural beauty that San Diego has to offer. Highly...
Read moreI thought they were fixing up this park last year, but there are still parts of the main play structure that are broken and caution taped off. It's a real shame because this is the only decent sized park in the area within walking distance and there aren't many fixtures on the actual play structure. For it to stay broken this long is just neglectful and sad. I was going to give two stars but there is another issue... all the BROKEN TOYS. About two years ago someone thought it was a great idea, and it was... at the time. People bring their old used toys and leave them there. My young boys are always excited to play with them and ask to come here but the past three times I've found broken plastic toys, with sharp edges and toddler bikes that have missing handlebars... a rocking horse with hard broke plastic right where the foot goes and my son was barefoot. I dragged it over to a trash can but the next time I came back it was still there on the playground... i throw the smaller things like broken sandpails away (even though I doubt I'm the only one this issue bothers) so I won't be coming here any more it is just not safe and I wish they would fix this place up. They added a new swing and took a small play statue out but that's all...
Read moreI have taken our daughter here to play since she was 3. It's a great park, but you do need to be cautious about who is hanging around the park. Since it has a bathroom/shower/sink setup, it tends to attract homeless. They usually stay away from the play structure but I always make sure to keep a close eye on her while here. As she has gotten older, she is having more trouble finding older kids to play with. It seems to be a good park for younger kids and their parents. It is steps away from the beach. They have a large grass area where I have seen parties and yoga but there are also a lot of homeless who find spots on the grass as well so exercise caution. There was a time where part of the play area was broken but they fixed it fairly quickly. I often see the beach patrol and rangers coming by here to check up, usually for dogs who have posted hours. They have cement benches to sit on and a small grass area by those where I have seen families having picnics. In between the park and the beach is the boardwalk, so make sure to watch for fast bikes and crowds of people going by. Overall, it is a great park - just be aware of the...
