Activate San Francisco — Attraction in San Francisco

Writing this review based on my experience. Overall the games are fun but the company restricts group sizes to a maximum of 5 people per room. So if your group is bigger than 5 you will have to split up (this was not informed to us until we were given a warning about the limit) The game rooms also do not have AC thus it gets very hot and musty. We also have to give a 1/5 stars to the staff. We had an incident where an another group cut in front of us and argued that we didn’t reserve one of the game rooms correctly so they can go in first. We reported them to the staff but the staff was resistant to talk to them. We finally urged the staff to talk to them cause they are cutting other groups as well. The staff talked to them but the staff stated to the rude group that our group was being Argumentative cause we didn’t follow the group size limit, the staff didn’t even explain to them it’s not ok to cut people waiting in line for a game room. The manager finally came and she also did very little to manage the situation, the rude group should’ve been kicked out but the staff resisted that option. Overall that interaction affected our...

Booked the 90 min session mid-day and it was totally awesome! It was just enough time for us to experience all the different games they had in the place.

Unfortunately, the laser maze was down for almost the entire time we were there, which was a bummer to our kids as that was the big reason we wanted to come here. Even though it was down - we still had fun regardless with all the rest of the games. Our favorite games were the grid and hoops games - (my 8 year old got tired fast from the Grid games so make sure they are hydrated/well fed before doing these intense movement games)

Last notes - Khary, the employee there, was great in showing us the game room and helping us set up for the first time. He was polite and patient with us the entire time and never felt like he was going through the motions with helping or explaining anything. Also, the laser room was finally fixed at the end but we unfortunately had run out of time when we noticed it. Khary and the manager PJ were gracious to give my family some extra time so we could at least do the laser maze a few times.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Activate Games, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the energy was electric, the games were challenging and fun, and the entire experience was incredibly immersive. It’s the perfect mix of physical activity and mental challenge—ideal for a group outing, family fun, or even a unique date night.

What truly made our visit exceptional was the amazing customer service, especially from Courtney. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about making sure everyone had a great time. Courtney took the time to explain how everything worked, gave us tips for maximizing our experience, and made sure we felt welcomed from start to finish. Her positive attitude and professionalism made a big impact on our group and really added to the overall experience.
