Miniso USA — Attraction in San Francisco

Inexpensive household goods, though selection is a bit oddly specific or niche in that it's not a huge space so the selection can only be so wide. They have things ranging from cosmetics, household necessities, stationery, bags and toys, to electronic cables and accessories like headphones, keyboards, wireless mice, powerbanks, VR headsets, external phone camera lenses, and phone cases. They also stock some snacks including Pocky, Hello Panda, and Hi-Chews.

I keep coming back because the line of licensed We Bare Bears merchandise refreshes pretty often...more often than that of larger, established toy companies. The store is clean and the goods nice quality. The problem I have is the lack of customer service support. Not the employees in the store - they’re great. It’s the non service oriented policy of the company itself. I am 30 miles away from the nearest store. There is one product I want which is not in stock...ever. There is no customer service phone number at the store to check on inventory. There is no corporate phone number to leave a message. There is no online purchasing. They didn’t even take my name and number so when a shipment does come in I can hop in the car and go get it. eBay want $100 for a $7 item. Don’t want it that bad. Sorry Miniso. Love any Japanese/Korean "dollar store"-type lifestyle store & this was a particularly nice surprise to stumble on inside Stonestown. Nice selection of reasonably priced Japanese cosmetics & back up electronic accessories made in the PRC just like the stuff at Daiso. Approximately $1.50 more than Daiso with some larger items & toys/plushies. Expect lines/crowds/strollers & kids. If you don't like crowds, stick w/Daiso.
