Crabilicious!!! We went here for lunch. The order consisted of
Crispy Calamari: This was a great way to start off. The aioli dip was fantastic. The calamari was fried and crisp to perfection. It was not at all rubbery.
Dungeness Killer crab; Two Whole Crabs: The star of the show... obviously!!! Lived up to all the hype we'd read about. The seasonings and juices on the skillet were delicious. We spent some time working on our other entrees before diving into this one. It got warm and was at a great temperature to allow us to crack open the shells easily. The taste was heavenly.
Killer Combo Double order: We'd expected a bit more quantity on this entree considering it was a double order but that did not dampen our spirits since the mussels, shrimp and crabs tasted exemplary. If you do order the skillet along with the Dungeness crab (which should be the primary reason for your visit anyways); it's a good idea to work on the skillet first just as a warm up to the boss crabs. The skillet was served with melted butter and another salty dip which went well with the mussels. The server does pour white wine over the skillet at your table. Be ready with your cameras. It's a spectacle with aroma!
Seafood Pasta: Probably the best pasta with respect to flavors and ingredients. It's creamy as described in the menu and a pretty good accompaniment to cleanse your palette occasionally. A single order should be enough for two if accompanied with skillets and/or crabs. YEs, it had great seafood in it as well mostly mussels and shrimp.
We also got a couple of drinks viz. the strawberry lemonade and pomegranate nojito. Both were very good accompaniments with the food. No refills though.
Ambience: Very casual. They do have both indoor and outdoor seating. Both locations have similar views. Very good ones. If you are lucky you could also see and hear the sea lions. Process: Reservations are recommended. However if you arrive early they should be able to accommodate you. Quantity: Good Parking: Pier 39 garage is just a 2 minutes walk. You can also request for a $10 off on the parking price when you ask for the...
Read moreIntrigued by the World Famous Dungeness Killer Crab and craving for seafood, we decided to have dinner here. We arrived around 8:30 pm, our reservation was set for 9:00 pm. I thought we had to wait till 9pm but we didn't, they seated us right away. The restaurant was busy and there were people waiting to be seated. The ambiance was a little loud. If you look up towards the ceiling, you will see decorations of colorful crabs and nets. We sat by the window so our view was the water and the boat dock. The waiter took our order, we got shrimps, Dungeness Crab, and clams with fettuccine.
Drinks I took a sip of the Strawberry Mojito, I didn't like it much because it lacked the strawberry flavor. Instead, I asked for a glass of Riesling (white wine) which tasted better.
Food After ordering, we were given two loafs of bread. We used the vinegar and oil to dip the bread in. The waiter gave us a bib that had a picture of a crab on it. First, we got the roasted shrimps (12 pieces) which was served in an iron skillet and it came with a side of warm sauce that tasted like a mixture of butter and lemon. The shrimps were very small; it tasted good with the sauce. Next was the Dungeness Killer Crab (whole crab - 2 plus pounds) that was roasted in their secret garlic sauce. I was really looking forward to this dish but I was disappointed because I couldn't taste the garlic. The last one is the Clams with garlic sauce and fettuccine pasta. The pasta was thick and a little hard but I enjoyed the sauce.
Customer Service They cleared out the plates quickly after we finished our food. The hostess was nice and friendly.

Read moreI had an extremely bad experience about the service I received fromthis restaurant. This experience was profoundly disappointing, particularly as it was my friend's first meal in the United States, after her arrival from a foreign country.
Our server, Preya, exhibited behavior that I found to be unprofessional and disrespectful. After being seated and provided with water, we were given approximately 10-15 minutes to review the menu. When Preya returned and asked if we were ready to order, I politely requested an additional five minutes. To my astonishment, Preya said "Five minutes? Really?" with an extremely unfriendly, disrespectful, and dismissive tone. I was shocked and taken aback by her response. She then abruptly left our table.
This interaction was completely unacceptable. Preya did not offer any apology for her rude behavior. Instead, she simply transferred our table to a colleague. Throughout our meal, I observed Preya interacting with other customers, and she was consistently friendly and attentive. This discrepancy in service left me feeling singled out and disrespected.
I am at a loss to understand why we were treated in this manner. I am deeply concerned that a server would display such blatant disregard for customer service.
Just want to follow up the restaurant feedback here. The restaurant management was saying there was no one named as “Preya” at the restaurant. Well, maybe I have spelled the name wrong, or forgot the correct pronunciation of the name, but this happened 100% at your restaurant. I’m more than happy to return to your restaurant and point out who was...
