Such a beautiful area of Glen Park. A recently updated playground that hundreds of local kids use everyday. And the baseball diamond next to it extends to a huge flat plateau of grass, perfect for bringing the doggo's to. I used to live a few houses down and this section of the park is where I usually would bring the dogs to in the evenings. There is never too many people to where you feel crowded. Personally, I enjoy my space at the park, to make calls while wearing down the pups. Or just to gather my thoughts.
Beware! If you do decide to bring your dogs to Glen Park, BOLO for the resident coyote pack. Their den is a few hundred yards down into the canyon. But after dusk they are known to roam around the area. I used to be able to watch them luring unsuspecting dogs towards their den to try to make a meal of people's pets. As long as you have a reliable recall you will be fine. But, don't let you dogs out of sight here. The coyotes are well practiced in the way of separating you from your best...

The playground has different sized slides, swings, and things to climb, all on grass or a soft padded turf surface.
The larger structures are closer to the small picnic area, which has two benches and three tables each with three seats. It's easy to see most of the playground from the picnic area and there's other seating spread across the playground.
The park has multiple paths to the Diamond Heights shopping center, making it convenient to have small picnic meet-ups.
