They called themselves Semi Beauty Station on Groupon, just in case you're looking to check their reviews here. DO NOT COME HERE FOR FACIALS.

Hacienda Heights: I cannot recommend this place for facials based on my recent experience. Here are the main issues I encountered:

Unprofessional Service:

Constant upselling attempts throughout the facial, which made the experience uncomfortable and disruptive. The esthetician left the room approximately three times during the treatment to retrieve items, breaking the relaxing atmosphere She turned the lights on full blast without providing any eye protection or warning. No ambient music or relaxing atmosphere - the room was completely silent.

Treatment Quality Issues:

The facial was subpar overall, with only four products used during the entire treatment (which seems minimal for a professional facial). About 20 minutes of the service consisted of basic light massaging, which felt like filler time rather than targeted treatment. The mask application left my skin feeling just "okay" - nothing impressive for a professional treatment.

What Worked:

The extractions were done competently and weren't overly painful (though this could be due to my high pain tolerance)

Final Thoughts: While this was a gift from my mother, I've decided that moving forward, I'll invest in higher-quality establishments for skincare treatments. The lack of professionalism, constant sales pitches, and subpar treatment quality make this place difficult to recommend.

For those considering Semi Beauty Studios in Hacienda Heights, I'd suggest looking at other options in the area that prioritize client experience and treatment quality...

I got my lashes done at Sumi beauty salon—Pasadena— as a first time client a while ago and it was wonderful! I decided to go to the Sumi beauty salon closer to me. As a returning client, I saw on Groupon that they had a deal for full set of lashes ($62). It didn’t state whether the voucher was for returning or new client so I assumed it would be okay. When I came into my appointment, the Hispanic lady in front told me there were issues with groupon and that I would have to pay an extra $38 dollars for the full price of $100. This was frustrating to hear because as a returning client, the price for a full set would be $75, but they were charging me $100 because I used Groupon. She even stated that if I came in without the Groupon voucher, I’d pay $75. I asked if she could honor my return client status and just pay an extra $13 to make it $75 since I didn’t realize there were issues with Groupon and had I known, I definitely wouldn’t have gotten the voucher online. She declined and luckily, I was able to get a refund. But I will not be returning here because it seems like they do not have any leniency or sympathy for their clients. If they have issues with Groupon, they need to resolve it...

The first time I came here I was very satisfied! Wendy did an amazing job and the extensions stayed on forever! I was getting compliments left and right and was constantly asked where I got them. I always hyped up this place.

Unfortunately, this last time I went I am unable to say the same. At first I was VERY pleased. Cynthia was much faster and more gentile. I chose Cynthia because I saw a lot of good reviews on her. My appointment was last Tuesday (June 11) and it's already been a week and these are my lashes now. I am SUPER disappointed. This time around they fell off SO FAST!! When I would see the extensions that would fall off, it looked like there wasn't even any glue. I'm so upset because it was $101.48 (mink lashes + tip).

I'll give this place 2 stars because I assume there are better lash technicians then others. Be careful when coming here.

I have about 20-30 lashes on each eye. Very sparse and gaps galore.. don't come for my eyebrows lol
