Sunshine Spa & Massage — Attraction in San Gabriel

Terrible massage. Booked an hour for 2 people and prepaid at the front with the boss lady. No couples room, not a huge deal. Massage starts off too light, does improve, but not by much. My masseuse leaves the room about 30 minutes in. It took a while for her to come back. Then, I realize someone different from my original masseuse is massaging me. Not a big deal, new one has better pressure and actuals knows what she's doing. After 10 minutes, she leaves, and I'm laying like a dead fish again for a long time again. Finally, they return, but I'm sure it's a different person again. The rest of the massage ends rather too quickly. I go out and wait for my wife to finish. Between the early end and multiple stops, I got about 35 minutes of massage time. My wife had a similar situation! The staff never communicated to us about what was happening and when confronted, boss lady tried to tell us we were requesting different masseuse. When pressed more, she raises a VIP card and says she normally books return customer only. She didn't know who we were. Pretty odd thing to say to customers that called ahead and paid before. Just because a "VIP" walked in 30 minutes after us doesn't mean it's right to rotate people around and waste our time and money. Poor management. Poor communication. Poor business. This place seems sketch. 0 stars for a business that tries to gaslight...

My girlfriend and I had a Monday off and we were wanting a massage. Since it was last minute we tried to walk in at a couple of places but they didn’t have any openings available. Almost decided to give up and go home when we saw this massage place down the street! We pulled up and walked in thinking we would be turned away but they were able to take us!

The decor was pleasant and clean. The massage tables are all sanitized between customers and we each had a private room. Most importantly we were very happy with our massages and pricing! The masseuses we had were very experienced. My girlfriend’s masseuse even had a background in Chinese medicine.

Afterward we went and had lunch and took what we both agreed to be the best nap we’ve had in a while! A testament to the effectiveness of the massages!! Will definitely be back for another or maybe...
