This is a great theater. Management has helped us out many times with different issues. We've been going here for about 5 years and never had any problems. Theater is kept pretty clean and everything is well maintained. I would say the management is above par but the lower staff is hit-and-miss when it comes to how friendly or professional they are. There's a black guy in concession who is, shall we say, chronically grumpy and refuses to laugh at jokes that are clearly funny he just remains stone-faced cuz he's above it all apparently. Hey bro smile sometimes your face won't crack or anything. But he's actually a nice enough guy when he's in a good mood. And for the record it has nothing to do with him being black. He just HAPPENS to be black. One recommendation I have besides that guy not being such a grumpster is related to the children's booster seats. Yes they offer those and for the last several years we didn't know that. I'm not a generally oblivious person... my wife is but she's a different story. I'm sure I would've noticed a sign if they had one though. If it had a happy kid smiling and waving at you sitting in a booster seat and some wording like "for your children's convenience so they can see the movie" et cetera. My wife thinks it's because they're plain black and are sitting on black carpet. She's such a goof with her theories sometimes. Anyway great theater guys just add some signage and maybe you know check the toilets a little more often PHEW hate to put you on blast no pun intended still 5 stars though haven't witnessed any parking lot stabbings keep up...
Read moreThis location is a little older unit but they do a pretty good job of maintaining it. My family has found the employees to be adequate in their jobs but lacking in customer service skills. Our biggest complaint is how they handle refills on popcorn. They insist on you going to the end of whatever line of customers they have at that time, or they'll say wait here and we'll get to you to you as soon as we can and then forget about you. Every other movie complex we go to in the general area help the refill customers between other customers orders or may even have a person assigned to help with popcorn refills, and do it with a smile not a dirty look. I guess the San Jacinto theatre could care less how much of your$10.00 to 15.00 movie you miss waiting for your refill and figure if we discourage refills we make a little more money. Don't know if this is a corporate policy or individual location policy.I guess the best way a customer can get their refill is to request it when you buy your popcorn to begin with provided they haven't run out of containers that they will put that refill in, otherwise you wait and miss some of your movie. I'm considering taking my business to a location that trys to give their customers good customer service and use a little common sense...
Read moreSJ's COMFY THEATER! I've always been a fan of this theater, I've been coming here for many years and it's still one of my comfort theaters. However, I think we need an upgrade/remodel, maybe even an extension to the theater that includes a premium screen as we don't have any. The screens are a great size but I think this Regal would do HUGE business if it got a large premium screen or two. The staff is amazing, always super friendly and they treat everyone like valued customers and adults. The manager was super helpful, he reminded people in line about deals on concessions and his staff are very professional. The popcorn is great and so are the other concessions and drinks, they get a big recommendation from me. As to why I don't give this Regal a five-star rating, it's not very clean in some auditoriums. For instance, I walked in today and found trash and icky stuff in many of the cup holders. Additionally, I found some stains and rips on some of the seats. It's a shame, because the seats are amazingly comfortable! Note: Popcorn and some concessions are half off...
