There has to have been exorbitant amount of shrink/profit loss recently. The fitting rooms are monitored more closely which isnât the problem. Today, at clear the rack event the cashier ringing me out miraculously knew off the top of her head there were still 100 of the athletic pullovers I was purchasing with a red sticker. She was baffled at why there was a discount sticker on it. There was no way she could have accused me of faking the sticker since it was stuck on solid but she did attempt to peel at it in front me. She kept saying the item should be full price (which was only a $20 difference at the end). WellâŚnot sure what she wanted me to say since a discount sticker was put on there and Iâm just trying to purchase it. She even called the manager and tried to explain what was going on and have her come to the register but I donât think her manager could really understand what she was saying. Not sure if that was an intimidation technique but I did nothing wrong and was annoyed enough at her that I was adamant about them honoring their mistake. She finally gave in. Then she made me hand back my receipt to fervently stamp âfinal saleâ twice covering the 4 items including non sale item. As I was putting it into my bag, she made me give the sweatshirt back to scan the tag into the system. Not sure why I had to spend 10 minutes enduring that type of attention in front of other people. Not one apology for wasting my time, treating me like a criminal nor a thank youâŚjust a âyou can go nowâ as she pushed the receipt towards me. There might be a few good employees there but the few that donât care to be working there or are downright rude really make the experience horrid. I will remember her and avoid any interaction...
Read moreFor the most part id like to think im fairly easy to please when it comes down to customer service. Especially for those who work in retail since I too have worked for a department store and have experienced first hand the hectic rummaging through clothes and shoes from customers looking for a great deal and then having to reorganize the shopping tornado through out the day till closing. Not to mention the rude and unpleasant shopper who makes no effort to atleast pick up the article of clothing that falls to floor (tho im aware that keeping the store presentable is the employees job, at least pick up said item for safety reasons) but i digress. Point being i empathize with those whom are in customer service. With that said, i find there to be no reason at all for customer service to be absolutely rude and hurtful to a customer no matter the circumstances. I went to the Nordstrom rack located in blossomhill. As of now and for the next 2months im in crutches due to a broken ankle that required surgery. Needless to say only one leg and foot are working. I decided to go shopping to bring my morale up and as I headed to the dressing room i had my items in hand and counted my items in tow in front of her. She asked to have them hung and counted again but offered no assistance at all. Not to mention offering no help to carry my 8 items of clothing to my dressing room. All the while losing my balance a few times trying to carry all my items without falling. The last straw was her cold and rude demeanor. As if i was a burden asking her to do chores. I was hurt and decided to leave without...
Read moreI was followed around for the past half hour by your loss prevention team as I tried on shoes. She said she was there just cleaning up, but if that's the case, why stop mid-shelf when I would move over just to keep an eye on me? And as I stood in line to check out, she stood right behind me and even followed me to the register and the young lady blatantly stood there and stared at me as I pulled my credit card out to pay. My Nordstrom credit card, mind you. Military status with legs apart and hands behind her back, radio at her waist blaring. I asked her if everything was okay, and she just gave me a smile. I'm surprised she didn't tackle me in front of everyone as I walked out.
How was I possibly a threat? What was I possibly stealing in my small purse that barely has enough room for my wallet and keys? What makes it okay to press up against me as I am shopping on my day off. When I say she was pressed up against me, I mean I could feel het breath on my arms as I would reach up to grab something off a top shelf. Yes, I was dresses down in a tank top and sweat pants, hoodie pulled over my messy hair, but how is that not an outfit found every day at any given mall in this country?
While this location is convenient, I am never coming back here again. I'll stick to online shopping where I'm not harassed and made to feel like a leper in my own community. It's good to have security at stores to stop theft and any incidences or alterations from occurring. But there is a difference between piece of mind for your customers and blatant...
